Unique Design - Providing Unique, Novel, ComfortIt is my opinion that these Puma Casron sneakers provide at least three unique design features that attribute to their wonderful comfort.The first of these is the thickness of the sole, especially at the heel.As a shopper and potential buyer of these Casrons you will have probably noticed the rather pronounced thickness of the sole, most particularly at the heel.So how thick is it? I got out the tape and measured it.The heels at the widest part measure a uniform Two Inches or 5.08 Centimeters.From that point it is a designed taper to the extended toe.So, how do you feel at that increased elevation? Do you feel tipsy or unstable?Not in the least and that brings us to number two in novel design features.The final lacing pull before tying the sneaker is from a point sightly ahead of the heel and at a balance point the lowest point neat the sole. All lacing is from that lower center of gravity.In my opinion this feature does much to add stability and comfort to these Puma Casrons.In this sneaker, you soon come to experience amazing comfort. and a lightness in your stride.That comfort and lightness is simply because you are walking in a pair of extra thick socks.Of course they are not socks but that is one way to get the idea behind this Casron sneaker.There is no tongue and the wide flat lace is woven back and forth over the portion of the shoe where the traditional tongue would be. The lacing is over the top nd forth over the top of the thick fabric. Now comes the next unique feature of these Puma Casrons. There is a customary and functional pull on tab at the heel of the shoe body, but there is also a second one provided at the top of the body where the end of a tongue would normally be. Does this make a difference in putting the shoes on?Yes, it most assuredly does. Once you get the hang of it, you will love this added forward pull tab assist.(See image of sneakers after two days of wearing them in and about my apartment, building complex, and plaza.)I wore these sneakers for two days before writing this review.Let me caution you.. These shoes are made strictly for gentle uncomplicated leisure comfort they are not meant to be worn in the industrialized work environment. Obviously, there is no reason for excessive thickness or a heavy steel toe guard.The entire body of the sneaker surrounding the foot is thick fabric with the exceptions being the laces and the thick soles.So if it is comfort that you seek, these shoes will serve you well.I really like them and can't wait for another couple of days when I can hang out at home and about in these Puma Casron sneakers.I did notice that these sneakers run noticeably longer in length. That is nice because your toes are not bumped up against anything. Gives you ample room to give your toes a little wiggle room in your socks and in the shoes. You can leave a little extra unoccupied material at the toe of your socks.That lacing design is really commendable. It provides just the right amount of give and take as your foot flexes. Cinching up at the sole seems to prevent the shoe from slipping back and forth. It is rock stable.For me they are a comport delight.In two days of wearing these sneakers there was no foot irritation...none.My feet want you to know that it was a real pleasure reviewing these Puma Casron Sneakers for you.My feet have whispered to me with contentment that I should award these well made and designed sneakers a full five star rating for both comfort and value and I have done so.I have reviewed a goodly number of shoes and sneakers in the past but none have brought me to such new heights of comfort as these Puma Casron Sneakers. I believe you are going to like them.

I've never owned Pumas before but these are pretty nice all things considered. They fit nicely and are a good little casual sneaker. I'm not huge on the style, but to each their own.

They're slip-ons, so the laces are mainly for decoration. I suppose you could really sinch down on your feet, but they don't feel like you should.The extra curved sole is ... odd. It curves up a LOT in the front and curves up even more in the rear.I feel like I'm supposed to walk weird when I wear them, like the awkward old person speed walking weird style.The heel is horrible.At first I thought it was the weird soles. Then I noticed the heel sticks out quite a but more from the back of the shoe. I've come close to falling down the stairs because the back of the heel caught on the step, and I'm no where near the age I'm falling down any stairs. I almost feel like cutting the extra heel bit off.Even if I chopped off the heel, there's still a stiff strap that sticks out too.Just horrible design.The slip on nature of them, I think they'll live at the front door and become my out to the mailbox/trash shoes.I drove with them once. I'm one of those weird Americans driving a manual. It wasn't great.But I will admit, they are both light and comfy.... just don't walk far or walk down stairs in them.

These Puma Soft Ride sneakers are a solid choice for activities like walking around town (or doing a several miles on a path) and travel.Comfort and CushioningThe cushioning in the Puma Soft Ride sneakers makes walking on hard floors or concrete feel doable. These shoes are soft and forgiving in terms of the upper and yet provide good support and absorb impact well, so they are ideal for long walks or standing for extended periods. The bottoms are wide and stable and the insoles are removable, allowing for the use of custom athletic orthotics if desired. I inserted my own orthotics, and they fit perfectly.Design and MaterialsThese sneakers have a slip-on design with a neoprene-like material around the opening. There is no separate tongue. They also have laces, so it's been easy for me to adjust the tightness across the bridge of my foot and get the right fit. I thought the laces were integrated but turns out they are just a nicely designed lacing system.Fit and SizingI wear a size 9.5 US / 42.5 EU, and these sneakers fit true to size for me. I have a narrow-to-medium foot and an average volume foot, and encountered no issues with fit, or with getting them on. (A loop on the heel can help you pull them on, should you need that.) I tend to have issues with heel slip, but the way these are built, with a deep enough heel cup that has comfortable padding on the top half, keeps my heel in place.StyleI think these look modern and clean without being too trendy. I got the dark blue, and I intend to wear them with my workout clothes as well as with jeans and shorts. I could probably pull these off with some khakis as well. They will be going with me on my next trip because I feel like these function like an athletic shoe but look nicer than most.Overall Impression and ValueFor anyone looking for a comfortable, versatile pair of sneakers at a good price, the Puma Soft Ride is a solid choice.
