XOP Aluminum Climbing Sticks for Hunting Treestands - Set of 3 - Storm Grey w/XOP Green Steps, 34 Inches Long

These are my first climbing sticks so as far as certain elements, I can’t compare them to others. However, in terms of usage comparative to my use of hanging tree stands before, these are the best option out there. I much prefer these over using any screw in pegs for trees on private land and these are perfect for public land. A buddy and I went out this past weekend to try em out and I didn’t need help getting it set up. Very user friendly especially after watching a video or two. Not a ton of equipment needed for it which I really liked. Portability is a 10/10. I easily secured these to a bow backpack with no issues. The ingenious design of how they connect to each other is great! The quality as well is outstanding as I climbed a few trees to really get a good feel. I didn’t get a chance to hang my stand with these sticks, but with a harness and a lineman’s rope, it shouldn’t be an issue. I’d recommend these for all hunters looking for a tree stand option

Great sticks at 3 pounds and lock into the tree great

These are great sticks for a semi mobile set up. I don’t think you’ll want to carry them in and out every hunt. They are well made and very sturdy, they bite the tree well, and are super easy and convenient to “hook” together. The can straps included are heavy duty and will last a long time. I’m not deducting a star of this because they came as advertised but one detail I just overlooked is, being as they are single steps (even though you can move them to either side) they are very convenient for using any kind of aider.

The price of these climbing sticks is great compared to others, but it depends on what you’re looking for. Pros: •Using these in a permanent set, they’re great. • Very heavy duty and sturdy • Bites the tree and stays very, very tight • Step grip will not let your foot slip Con’s: • If using for a mobile hunting set up, they’re bulky, longer than normal sticks, and heavy. •Having one step on each side makes using climbing aiders very difficult. • Only 3 sticks gives you less versatility in crooked/leaning trees • Longer sticks make it more aggravating when trying to put up/take down (especially if your mobile hunting and go this often) All in all, these are great for the correct application.

Lite weight. I love the way the snap together for travel.

Pros: Stand-off distance allows for full foot placement Step traction is very secure Rotational (limited) tree engagement allows for solid connection to irregular surfaces and trunk bends Solid/secure cinching to tree...zero flex...feels like part of the tree once mounted Stacking method is tight...no rattling and no additional straps or bungees required Affordable enough to buy multiple sets (see only con below) Good camo color...no need to paint or tape unless you just have to do you own mods Con: (just the one...) Wish they were sold in sets of four or singles were available. Three sticks is just not quite enough to get me to desired height. I bought four 3 stick sets so I can have three 4 stick set ups. I use them for semi to fixed sets for saddle and lock-on stands. The weight really doesn't bother me when I move them. But, I use smaller two steps configs when I'm truly hopping sets. I also like to keep one stick with me when hanging cameras. The three steps on the stick allow me to get the cameras well above line of sight (deer and other people).

Work as should , quite really like how they connect together! Once they bite they don't budge

I really like the stacking mechanism. They are easy to climb. They are very very easy to hang in the tree. The foot pegs swivel 180 degrees, so you can swing each from 9 o’clock to 3 o’clock to suit whichever way you want to climb. They are pretty light. I would not use these for long entry mobile hunting where you’re setting them up and tearing them down each day.
