Work. Play. Repeat. This is iconic 1460 style, with all the classic Dr. Martens DNA. But it's been re-engineered for workers doing 8-hour shifts on their feet, with extra cushioning, steel-toe, and an innovative slip-resistant GRIP-TRAX tread.

Best Boot I’ve Owned.
This Dr Martin boot is by far my favorite. The leather is iconic, it fits my foot with room to move toes, only the slightest gap on the heel which I got a heel cushion to fix that or optionally tighten the laces but I like a little room for the middle-top part of my foot. It only took me 3 days to break in the leather. But depending on your foot that could take a week or two. Using the Balsam may help and it makes the boot look shiny. The heel cushions also greatly helped in the breaking in part too. This is my 5th pair of Docs and it’s probably my favorite plus it’s steel toe and it’s very comfortable and unnoticeable.

Unusually comfortable for Docs
I've had these a little over a month now, and I must say I'm very impressed with how comfortable they are, even out of the box. This is far from my first pair of Docs, and while they certainly do still leave your heels in blisters for the first few weeks, this is the first pair I've ever broken in that didn't immediately claim a pint of my blood (moleskin and athletic tape still very strongly recommended). The quality of the leather is... interesting. I actually had to examine them very carefully to make sure that it was, in fact, leather and not a counterfeit - they ship with some kind of strange plastic-y coating on the leather, I'm guessing for some kind of chemical resistance or other OSHA-related reason, and this makes them very squeaky initially and changes the way that the leather breaks in. I've now oiled them twice with shoe oil and the leather is much softer and actually leather-like (and no longer squeaky).Size wise, I would recommend going with your usual size. I wear a men's 8.5, women's 10.5-11, and the men's size 9 fits me perfectly. In other words, love these boots, weird leather coating and all. Will likely buy another pair.

Great boot. Get em' while you can.
I really like the looks of the Doc Martens 1460. I've owned them in the past, but it's been a while and I was missing them. I like the steel toe version because the toe area is roomier and I find them way more comfortable. I was looking for some made in England ones, but discovered they no longer make the steel toes in England. Next I discovered that DM doesn't have any steel toe boots at all on their website regardless of where they are made. Then I found these on Amazon. They are made in Vietnam, but are super nice and comfortable after a short break-in. Get them now because they may be the last of the steel toe Doc Martens!

Good for work
These are not the Docs from my grunge days. Those are basically unavailable now since DM moved most production to Asia. My son got a pair of the "fashion" Docs and this pair is better made and has better leather than what he got. I work in a print shop and the boots have held up pretty well. I've tried a few things to eliminate the squeak including mink oil, neetsfoot oil, and leather lotion to no avail. They're just squeaky boots but I really don't notice that when the printing press is running. They clean up pretty well. I'm happy with them.

Docs
Been wearing docs for years the quality has went down since moving the operations to China but overall still enough quality to stay $175 and will last a year in a fast paced factory environment. I did notice they upgraded the soles that now have better traction yet to be determined how this will do over the course of the year IMO there is no better looking boot and have a wide base so never feel the steel on the sides very comfortable on concrete for long periods

Should have bought these sooner
I’ve been wearing work boots for 25 years. I love these. Most comfortable steel toe boots I have owned. They fit well and look great with jeans and gray work pants. I have been wearing these on my off days too. Definitely have a cool factor. The leather finish is good but I will have scuff and scratches in no time- but that is what they are for. I also like the non-slip soles. I work in a variety of environments. These boots are good for warehouse, manufacturing, lab, industrial, even kitchens. Probably not the best boots for an outdoor construction site but will work for interior commercial construction. They do squeak for almost two weeks while the leather is breaking in.

they don’t make steeltoes anymore
i wore doc martens steel toes for 8 years. i’m a residential and commercial electrician, a pair usually lasts around 2 years. love them but they sold out laborers in favor of image obsessed wannabes who wear work boots as a fashion accessory; as such, doc martens has ceased production of steel toed boots.i’ve since moved on to midwest boots. their mellow walk line of steel toes is a comparable and less expensive plain black laced boot with steel toes.you pretenders are going to miss the real deal someday, assuming you could ever recognize such

OG punk rock combat boot of gen X
Buy one size smaller. UK size is a size matter than US. I wear a 10 US so I bought a size 9 and they fit perfectly. I've owned many brands of boots in my 50 years of living and used to love Born brand when the quality was better in the 90s, but I always seem to come back to Dr Marten's because of the fit and comfort. I have wide feet so most boots (Frye in particular) are too narrow and tight. But these are the perfect width for my feet. The sole does make a slight clicking noise, but I think it's because they are not worn in yet. Will update it that doesn't go away. Overall I love these boots. They are durable, comfortable, look badass and are the OG punk rock combat boot of my generation(X).

I feel like these will be my last pair of Steel Toed Doc Martens
My Steel Toed DMs arrived today and, of course, they fit well! I will put some extra Dr Scholls in there for extra comfort. It's been awhile since I bought my last pairs. I think it was back during COVID-19 Shutdowns. I have worn 1 pair down and I still have 1 to go. However, it's been hard trying to find these. If there's any left, buy them. Who knows when any Supplier will have them or if DM will be making them??? (It took me over a year to find them here!)Since 1992, all I've ever bought is the Steel Toed. I find them more comfortable than the ordinary version. Like most people, who own them, they can walk/run in them for 16+ hours a day. They aren't made of the same good leather they used to be made with prior to DM selling the Original Brand to a European Co. Oh well, maybe 1 day....They've jumped over $150 since my last purchase. Must be that "Supply Chain" issue. If you're thinking of buying, just buy them. If you know of any place that sells the ST Version, let me know. It took me well over 2 years to find these.
