DC12V EY2512 Shade Motor Electric Blind Motor Remote Control Wired Compatible with 38mm Shade Tube DIY Electric Roller Blinds/Shades

I was updating some older motorized blinds. The originals had Somfy motors, 1.5" Rollease tubes. Replacing those motors with Somfy motors would have cost at least $165 per motor. I ordered one of these to try, and it worked great. I ordered 4 more to complete the installation. Easier to program than Somfy, 1/3 the cost. A great 5 channel remote. I am very happy with these!

I bought this to replace my first purchase which failed to program. This one programmed smoothly with no problems. The description says for 16mm and 25mm tubes but my tube is a little larger so I used the parts from the old motor to make it work. The pictures shows old motor and new motor below it.I assumed I could use a 12v battery pack to run the motor like I did on the original one died failed after 7 years, BUT, that is NOT the case. It will run the battery down quickly since it draws about 30 ma when idle. Plan on using an AC 12V 2 amp power supply.

I had a special installation that I wanted to use this motor in and needed some adapters that didn't come with the motors. Rollerhouse customer services worked with me to understand what I needed and then sent me the adapters to get the installation done right. Their responsiveness was outstanding. The motor and remote works great. I highly recommend this company and product.

This review is for the "RTS 12V DC Radio Controlled Tubular Motors for Electric Mini Roller Blind Compatible 3/4"(21mm) and 1"(25mm) Roller Shades" roller blind motor. Even though is clearly states that is for the 1"(25mm) roller shade, it only comes with the end bracket to support a 3/4" roller shade. But it does come with (3) options for the motor to fit a 3/4"(21mm), 1"(25mm) and 1 1/8" (28mm). The problem is the motor adapters for the 1"(25mm) are too large for the outer portion of the motor and the inner adapter is very loose. To make this kit work for a 1"(25mm) roller shade, you would have to use a razor knife to shave down the outer ring, wrap tape on the inner motor adapter and place a lot of tape on the end bracket roller support to make this motor work on a 1"(25mm) roller shade. I have directly purchased of this kit from the Rollerhouses website as well for the 1"(25mm) roller shade and it had the same fit issues with the 1"(25mm) roller shade adapters. Since I don't like using tape to make things work, I just designed and 3D printed adapters that fit perfect. The motor and remote work well once I made all of the parts to make it fit correctly. To be fair, I did not try to contact technical support to ask for different parts. It was easier to just print the correct adapters for me. Good luck.

Great product. Just little modifications. Had to shorten the blind tube and one bracket, but was able to use original valance that came with the blinds.Bought the 12v adapters and the 6 channel remote. I can operate separate or all with one push of the button.I set the stop limits, and they work and look awesome.

Easy to install and program. It rolls up and down a 69x69in black out roller. Good value for the money.

We installed three of these in high windows that we couldn’t reach. They work well either singly or in unison. Setting the limits that control how high and low they go was very easy and works well.The seller is definitely foreign and translation is not well done. Measurements listed in the description comparing inches to mm are not always accurate. Use the measurements in inches. The instruction translation to English leaves a bit to the imagination. There are several YouTube videos that will give you a better sense of how to do the install. In our case, the attachment provided for the non motor side wouldn’t work on our shades. We had to hack the existing attachment and then shim it to get it level with the attachment on the motor side.
