Sage Coffee machine was completely clogged with virtually no water flow. After 15 minutes of working the solution through it cleared. Would highly recommend!

Good Descaling - At a Premium Price
This is 4 sachets of descaling powder, for use in your espresso or coffee machine. The ingredients are Citric Acid and Tartaric Acid. The sachet doesn't indicate how much there is of each ingredient or what purity. Basically any acid will do when descaling, as you want to dissolve limescale, which is Calcium Carbonate. However, some acids will be safer for use in machines where the water will be drunk. Hydrochloric Acid or Sulphuric Acid would definitely descale your machine, but would be too corrosive for the metalwork !! The two usual descaling acids in common use in coffee machines are Lactic Acid, and Citric Acid. Vinegar can also be used. The descaling process of your coffee machine will be specific for your model of coffee machine. I have a Nespresso (not a sage), and although the descaling process would have been in the official instructions, I found the procedure well documented on many YouTube videos. You basically dilute the sachet of powder in 1 litre of water, add it to the water storage area, and then run the resultant solution through the machine. I did this twice with the same water. You then rinse all the reservoirs generously with water, do another flush through the machine with fresh water, and then you are ready to start drinking coffee again. I found that it worked very well. There was a white residue in the water which had passed through the coffee machine - presumably limescale, along with some dark specs of solid matter - perhaps burned coffee. I actually put the liquid which had already gone through the coffee machine into my kettle, and it descaled the kettle fully as well. It was visibly shiny inside the kettle when finished - you assume the inside of the coffee machine looked the same way - so a good job done. It works very well, but the price of ยฃ7.20 for 4 uses is quite a high price to pay for what is likely quite cheap ingredients. I think you should also consider descaling your coffee machine with citric acid bought from the high street, and that would end up cheaper.

Only removed a little limescale
Not the best, but it's pretty much only citric acid so safer than sime that contain other chemicals.

Do not buy
This stuff doesn't work, it's rubbish. Don't bother your time buying it. I used all 4 sachets and it didn't clean my machine. Doesn't dissolve.
