Q: Would this enclouser be suitable for mice?

Yes, Our hamster cage is 39.4"L X 19.7" WX 19.7”H. It has enough space for mice to play and explore.

Q: Is it chew proof? I would hate to loose my Houdini but he has that name for a reason and can get out of anything.

Like other wooden enclosure, this one would not be chew proof. I always use a glass tank with a lid for chewing escape artist hamsters.

Q: Is there some way available to seal the base, especially the edges where the sides meet the base?

I used aquarium sealant to seal the inside corners to prevent leaking, and then i used liquid nails on the exterior corners for extra support to the cage since it can be a bit wobbly. My cage is very stable now, it's not going anywhere.

Q: it will be back on stock or not, and other colors?

This cage is not safe for any pet.
