Mira Showers 1.1845.002 Elite QT 10.8 kW Pumped Electric Shower - White/Chrome

This replaced our last Mira shower which after a longish life gave up the ghost when I could not squeeze the filter cap back on. This product has solved that problem because it is a dream to get to the filter, rinse it out and replace it. The product also gives a wonderful shower and because it is a cold water feed, my wife can put on the dishwasher, the washing machine and run hot water whilst I am having a shower and I neither scald not freeze. Well done Miora on a better product still. Michael

This shower was purchased only 4 months ago and is now failing to heat water, it pumps water but will not heat it at all, I cannot see any way to contact supplier

There was no way to find out if the unit was to use Tank pressure (Low Pressure) or Mains water supply that is a high pressure until you saw the blue prints. So, I had to send this one back and order a different MIRA Shower that will accept the Mains water supply. LESSON LEARNED: VERY INPORTANT TO KNOW WHAT WATER PRESSURE YOU HAVE BEFORE ORDERING!!!! On the Amazon website SEPERATE INTO TWO DIFFERENT GROUPS HIGH WATER PRESSURE &/& LOW WATER PRESSURE!

I had a Mira ST 10.8k and was pretty happy with that but it then broke 4 years in (and various engineers couldn't fix it). They stopped making the ST, but thankfully this fits nicely using the same screws and locations for water and power inlet. It's pretty quiet for what it is, but its still a pump, so not the quietest. Maybe two-thirds that of the ST. 4* rather than 5* because the ST broke after only 4 years - which might be a bit unfair I guess. Pretty happy with the power of it.

Really nice shower. It is a little noisy because of the pump, but would still recommend.

The shower works very well, that we're pleased with. What we don't like, is how very noisy it is. I understand that it is a pumped shower which may be noisier than other showers, I don't know as I've never had a pumped shower before. I do know that this is the noisiest shower I have ever used, at home or elsewhere. I can't understand how they can advertise it as being quiet. Surely this is a breach of Trading Standards? We did speak on the phone to the Mira's helpline, they said they could send round an engineer but if the shower wasn't faulty, we'd be landed with a bill for £80. I can't say it is faulty, just very noisy.

I actually did not use my shower and sent it back so cant say how good or bad it was. However what I would like to say if anybody out there is thinking of buying it , be very sure that the place you are going to fit it has a cold water supply tank in the loft , because it states it must only be plumbed to a cold water tank , NOT to the mains cold water as is the with nearly all other electric showers on the market, thats the reason I sent mine back , as I had no cold tank. I hope this helps.
