I usually set my tablet on the tray table during flights, but when the snacks come, it's a juggling act. This zipper case will be handy to keep the movie going without that hassle. Because it is so tall, my iPad also fits in it sideways so the straps go horizontally across the back. I hope to be able to hook the strap over the tray table clip and hang the screen while the table is down. I'll update after my upcoming flight.You can use the touch screen and home button about 90% of the time while it's in the case. A few times the home button would not work and I had to slip it out to get the job done. But the clear plastic front is thick and sturdy, the stitching strong and the elastic bands on the back are wide. It should hold up well while being light, compact, and easy to slip in and out of the front pocket of my carry-on or backpack. A small opening for a charging cord would have been a good addition.

I finally used this on my trip and now I am regretting buying this so far in advance of my trip that I can no longer return.I attempted multiple times to get this to actually strap around the airline tray with no luck. When I was able to get it to strap, there was so much give in the elastic band, that my tablet faced at a downward angle.Maybe I'll figure a better way to get it to actually face me on my next flight, since I'm now stuck with it.

I'm looking forward to trying this on a plane. I like how roomy this is for a tablet, even in a case. This works best when you set the video up beforehand that you're gonna watch and put it in after that, so you don't have to mess with it. Or you have bluetooth controls that can stop, start, and play.
