For personal care products what temperature it´s better to use? Does it dissolve in a water? Need to warm up?

I’m not sure about personal care products, I use it for cattle feed concentrates, but I use a pail & fill it with water & stir it up good until the water is clear & all the sodium is dissolved...

How much sodium benzoate can be added to one gallon of simple syrup?

I use it for trapping bates to stop decompition in meat based trap bates. I've had no other experience. Sorry
