When you want the look of a real candle but the functionality of a night light - this grouping is ideal; only use a few for a night light - or all for more light. The glow is very similar to a candle - but with very slight flickering. These are made of wax - not glass so they look and feel very realistic. I bought these for my guest bedroom where my 96 year old father stays when he comes to visit. His sight is diminished so he really appreciated the brightness of all 5 'candles' when he needed to get up at night. I put them all on the timer mode - which lasts exactly 5 hours. In the timer function, the AA battery lasts about 6 months. Excellent value for the price - and I was surprised at the accuracy of the timer; one time I woke up just as they were shutting down - all but one went off at almost the same time, the last one took about 1 minute longer.

The main things I wanted in led pillar candles were reasonably realistic looking color/flicker, multiple sizes, and either a remote start or a timer. These check both of those boxes and I am contemplating ordering another set.The use of real wax is a bonus as it helps them look like real candles. The color tone is warm and the flicker is subtle. I wanted the timer because it allows me to place them in harder to access areas (top shelf in one case) without having to have easy access to turn them on. I haven't had them long enough to speak to battery life, but I do like the timer option.Different sizes work better if you have a grouping. I ended up using a shorter one in a candle holder where I thought I'd use a taller one, so now want more smaller ones. Which is why I may order another set.The only thing that would improve them would be either an indentation in the bottom so that they can be used with candle holders that have the center spike, or some kind of base/spacer (maybe as an accessory?) that could be used to raise them above the center spike. I cobbled a spacer out of cardboard and covered it with a ribbon to hide the cardboard, but it would have been nice to not have to make my own.

I spent way too much time comparing artificial candles before deciding on these, but I'm happy with them. It's nice that they're real wax, and though the overly neat edges keep them from looking entirely real, you could probably even burn them into a more plausible facsimile of the real thing. I haven't yet tried that though... they're nice enough that I don't want to risk ruining them.The best part of all is the flicker. I hesitated to get a artificial candle with flicker because I read too many reports of disco strobing, but these were said to be subtle, and indeed they are. In fact, when I had these burning in one room and real pillar candles in the next, I was amused to discover that the flicker of these is actually *more* subtle than that of a real candle! I'm sure that is for the best.The timer function is also handy, though I do wish you could set the "on" phase to more than five hours so that they would be illumined all night. With a bit of experimentation I finally managed to find the right five hour window so that they are maximally useful as nightlights.

I would have given the candles 5 stars if not for one issue. I must say that the candles look very realistic and I love the soft light and soft flicker. I am using them on 2 different candelabras that I keep in my 2 fireplaces. The only drawback is that the candelabras have spikes where the candles sit. I didn't want to remove the spikes (as some reviewers did), so my only solution was to remove the covers of the battery compartments and left the compartments open in order to place the candles over the spikes. I hope that this does not affect their performance. The fireplaces are dry, sp I doubt there will be a problem. I could see from reading on-line that all flameless candles seem to have this problem. It would be nice if there coould be a design that incorporated a place for a spike.

These candles are amazing! I got them for a deal for $6.99! They arrived the next day and oh man. They’re beautiful! I’m cheap so when I went to get more the price went back up to $16.00. While they’re worth it I wouldn’t pay that much. It does use AA batteries so make sure to have them. The timer is amazing. I like to leave them on when I go to bed so when I wake up they’re off.

I just love these candles! The set creates a romantic and relaxing atmosphere wherever they are used. Since the candles are made of actual wax and the flicker is realistic, it is not easy to tell these from the “real thing”.One very nice feature is that the batteries are long lasting. I’ve had them for several weeks of light use, and have not had to change the battery yet. The on/off switch has 3 positions: On, Off, and Timer. So you have the option of setting them up to automatically come on every night for a few hours and they automatically shut themselves off so that they don’t burn all night when you are asleep.So cozy and easy! I plan to buy more for other rooms in my home!

I love these, particularly for the timer option, and got another set by the same company for my wedding. However when this set came one of them didn't work and another stopped working in the first month. To be fair to the company I didn't let them know or send back the product so I don't know how simple their returns process was. It was right before Christmas and so it wasn't the top of my priority list to return or call.

These are the ones that look the most realistic and have the best flicker for sure! I bought some of the others on Amazon and I am not happy with them. The flames on these candles look so nice and the shape is great. I love the wax and the soft color. They are just right. You can put them on something that is below eye level and they still hold up the impression of real candles. I love the timer feature too.
