Excellent Option for my AirBNB
I have an interior door between my AirBNB and my home that is generally open/unlocked when the guest suite is unoccupied. This was an excellent, secure and easy to install means of ensuring the door stays closed when guests are present. My 10 and 12 year old children are capable of opening it, but it's enough of a barrier that no one would fling the door open without thinking (which they were otherwise prone to). And it has a slim, unobtrusive look whether locked or unlocked that doesn't stick out or clash with the decor.

If you don't want to spend a bunch of money on security systems, then get yourself one of these.The design is super simple and easy to install and use. Intruders will literally have to break the door down with sledge hammers to get into my home now, which puts my mind at ease when I'm away at work or sleeping at night.I took off one star because 1 screw top broke during install, so while the assembly itself seems sturdy enough, I highly recommend not using the cheaply made supplied screws and just buy some sturdy ones yourself. Overall, still a great value for what you're getting and the purpose it serves.

Simple yet effective, practical and tough.
I was really impressed and regretted all the holes I digged before on the previous useless ones. For wooden built houses that's what u really need to guarantee ur screws do not go in void since it's the only one that is fixed actually to the inner side of the door frame and it is really TOUGH! Too bad the pics doesn't really show how it really works so I took the chances and bought it. Materials are of good quality, looks nice not bulky as others and screwed on one side only! Don't waste your holes on other ones, that's the one you need.

If you have small kids, you need this.
My toddler started walking out our front door.First line of defence was an automatic deadbolt that locks itself after 30 seconds.Well then the child grew 🤷🏼♀️With enough tinkering he managed to loosen up the deadbolt so that he can open it.Second line of defence, this thing. Took some getting used too. Pissed the husband right off when he was locked out and I didn’t hear him knocking over the first couple days, BUT, it’s a life saver and a necessity for adventurous little boys. Highly recommend. We’ve had it for a couple months now, I installed it myself, holds up VERY well against my fleet of children.

You need to chisel down the door frame.
You need to chisel down the door frame before you screw it to the door frame. I noticed when I fixed it to the door frame, it is hitting the door while open and close. I am not sure how well this works in the Wintertime.
