Short shovel but works well for my needs
Pay attention to the size because this is a short shovel. I got it for smaller projects but after a short while, my back definitely hurts with bending over (I'm 5'4" for reference). But I do like how it feels sturdy and it does a good job of loosening up soil with the sharper corner/edges. This needs to be assembled as well but it's easy to do.

Flimsy Handle, Not Durable for Heavy Use
I was excited to try the Arden Shovel, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. The plastic handle feels cheap and fragile, breaking after just one use. The D-shape design is comfortable, but what's the point if it can’t withstand regular digging or even light gardening tasks? This shovel might be okay for soft soil or sand, but it’s not reliable for anything tougher. Disappointed with the quality—especially for the price. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for something sturdy and durable

I was shocked to learn you have to assemble this shovel, BUT it was super easy. So no harm done.

31 inch small shovel
This small 31" D-shaped shovel is handy when you're on your hands and knees in the garden. It assembled quickly and worked well for what I needed it for. I do wish it was a bit larger so I can use it for larger tasks. It is not really flimsy and seems sturdy enough.

When You Don't Need A Full-Size Shovel, This Is The One You Want!
In my garden, I rarely need a full-size shovel, so when I saw this one, I knew I had to have it. It's lightweight and very well constructed. Assembly was a breeze. I have put it to good use with an irrigation system that I just installed and it's passed every test I've given it. Highly recommended, especially for Amazon's low listed selling price.

Nice Sized Shovel with Helpful Angled Handle. For Occasional, Light Work.
This shovel is a good size and comes in handy while camping, gardening or even as a emergency shovel for my car.The shovel does not come assembled, but assembly is quick. The shovel head attaches to the pole with a couple screws and nuts and the pre-drilled holes don’t line up precisely as they could.The handle is plastic and has odd curves in the plastic as well as other small odd shapes in the molding. The instructions included call the shovel a “steel ice chopper”, so maybe this was originally designed for ice fishing. The handle is not up to the same quality standards as the rest of the shovel, and will likely fail first.Overall a useful shovel in a good size, for occasional light work.
