This is a nightmare to use. It barely functions. It seems to short circuit constantly. I wanted to replace an old machine with something inexpensive and this thing literally stops every thirty seconds. It also came used with someone’s left over fabric in the box with bad stitching in it. I’m so mad.

My sewing experience is super limited... with a whole troop of Girl Scouts who need their badges to actually stay, I decided to get this super portable sewing machine. The instructions were really clear, excluding that you need to hold the top thread for the first few stitches to get it to stay in place. I went from zero knowledge to a full tunic of badges sewn on in practically no time. It is easy to take with me to meetings, because it is small and has a handle. It's also inexpensive enough that I am comfortable teaching my kids how to use it because if they break it, we can easily replace it. But the quality is very good, and it offers an array of stitch patterns. I only used the foot pedal, but the high and low functions are probably pretty easy, too.

I picked this up as a starter machine to learn on—but unfortunately, it ended up causing more stress than stitching. The compact size and built-in stitch options are great in theory, and I liked the idea of something portable and beginner-friendly.But in practice, it jammed often, the tension was hard to dial in, and the thread would constantly slip or snap even after rethreading multiple times. The foot pedal feels flimsy, and the high/low speed toggle didn’t seem to make much difference.It might work for very light projects or practice, but if you’re hoping to actually make something without constant troubleshooting, you’ll probably outgrow this quickly. Feels more like a toy than a true tool.

didn't work. had to return it. it kept jamming, string breaking, coming unthreaded, then the needle just got stuck and wouldn't move. i tried and got my mother who is experienced with sewing machines to try it and it's just not even worth it at all.. spend a little more and get a real machine.
