Stops the indoor rain.
We had a solar exhaust fan in a metal outbuilding, which works great in the summer. But not so much in the winter. The ground heat would warm the building up enough that moisture would condense on the ceiling and it would rain a bit inside. Now that we have power available, it was time for a better fan. This fan did the trick. The old fan was also 10" so installation was really easy. We made sure the fan was good and warm before pulling off the blue protective film and it was only mildly annoying. The cord was a little short for what we needed, but a little creative work with a switched outlet took care of it. We're just glad it came wired with a plug, which made things easy to test and use temporarily until the switch was ready. It runs quietly and pulls plenty of air out of the building so it's much drier. The stray cats that occasionally sleep in there must appreciate that. This fan is doing everything we want and we're happy.

Functional
I have a smaller shed, with no insulation, that I'm hoping to keep cooled down as much as possible in the Texas heat. I had already installed a 10" plastic exhaust fan that has been working well, it just can't keep up. I saw this 10" aluminum fan and was thinking it might hold up longer due to the material. Unfortunately, the first fan I received was bent so much at the bottom it was unusable, so I sent it back to get a replacement. The installation was fairly straightforward, but it was a bit more difficult due to not having a true box around the louvres. The top and both sides are covered, but there's not a piece along the bottom that sticks out as far. The plastic one was basically a box all the way around the louvres, which made it easy to hold against the wall and trace around the outside of the box to cut the hole. Surprisingly, I also had to be much more careful when mounting this fan in the hole, as it kept wanting to twist and bend. The louvres are very thin and you need to be careful not to bend them, or they won't fit well when closing. There is also not a screen to help keep stuff out if the wind were to blow the louvres open. The fan and shroud are beefy though, and there is a pretty good amount of cord to find a plug. At first it didn't seem like it was pulling much air because the louvres weren't opening very far, but after going outside, you can tell it's drawing out the air well. Hopefully this will help the other fan keep the temperature down, and maybe later I can add some insulation to help some too.I'm only giving this fan 4 stars due to the fragility of the materials. My Star Rating Scale:5 stars - Perfect, or as close to perfect as possible and would definitely recommend to anyone.4 stars - Works well, but could see some minor changes that could make the product better. Would recommend to others.3 stars - Functional, but areas of concern or major changes that could make the product better. Recommend researching other options. OR, neutral ranking, nothing really special or bad about the product.2 stars - Barely functional, recommend researching other options.1 star - Avoid at all costs!

A Powerful and Quiet Exhaust Fan.
I recently installed the FICBXRA 10 Inch Shutter Exhaust Fan in my garage workshop, and I'm impressed with its performance.Key Features I Appreciate:Powerful Airflow: The 844 CFM airflow is strong enough to quickly remove hot, humid air and unpleasant odors from my garage.Quiet Operation: Despite its powerful motor, the fan runs surprisingly quiet. It doesn't disrupt my work or disturb neighbors.Durable Construction: The aluminum construction is sturdy and weather-resistant, ensuring long-lasting performance.Automatic Shutter: The automatic shutter opens and closes smoothly, preventing backdraft and energy loss.A Small Note:While the fan is generally excellent, the installation instructions could be a bit more detailed, especially for DIYers.Overall:If you're looking for a reliable and efficient exhaust fan, I highly recommend the FICBXRA 10 Inch Shutter Exhaust Fan. It's a great investment to improve air quality and comfort in your garage, workshop, or other spaces.

Great Fan
This 10" shutter exhaust fan was perfect for my small attic. I chose to mount from the inside, which resulted in the shutters being flush with the exterior siding. The frame/flange of the fan is pre drilled making it simple to anchor the unit to the wall. And with the long cord, you can manually plug it it from 8' away. I chose to run a separate switched outlet dedicated to the fan for my install. The unit is well made, the shutters function properly and seal fairly well when the fan is off. The fan motor operates quietly and has been circulation attic air for over a hundred hours so far, with no trouble. The potential energy savings that this fan is capable of providing, will cover it's cost quickly. I recommend purchasing and installing.
