I have used various formulations of thread lock for years, but the blue one as been the most often used for me. I saw that I was almost out the last time I used some and remembered that when I went to a brick ’n mortar auto parts store to pick something else up. I really didn’t remember it costing that much!Saw this on Amazon and figured I’d give it a try. The price certainly was very reasonable, and the reviews were almost universally good. I am happy to report that this seems every bit as good as the name brand version I’ve always used. Same consistency and seems to have a similar holding strength. Most importantly, the bolts that I’ve used this on haven’t come loose. I will update this review should it fail and something comes loose that shouldn’t, but I suspect I wouldn’t need to do that.I can wholeheartedly recommend this blue 242 thread locker. Seems pretty much identical to a name brand version for a much better price.
