This was my first time making my own hyaluronic acid serum. I had a good experience with this product. I’ve seen the poor reviews & you have to take the time to mix the powder with the distilled water. I didn’t have a small enough mixer so I had to shake it for a while in the cosmetic jar I’m using & it worked. The powder completely dissolved & set up into a nice gel consistency in the refrigerator. Just be patient when mixing your own skin care. It can take time. It turns into a big clump at first. I just continued to shake it & the clump turned into smaller clumps. I had a few tiny ones left but decided to put it in the fridge. When I checked on it the next morning, those clumps had dissolved completely. I have a nice clear gel in the 4 oz jar. I tied it & I’m really happy with the results.

Love love love!! I use 2 teaspoons of Powder, 7 fl. oz. distilled water, 1 teaspoon vegetable glycerin. I slowly mix the powder into the distilled water using a hand mixer (very important to mix the entire time so it doesn’t glob and dissolves easily). I then added glycerin. I had one slight clump, but after refrigerating overnight it was completely smooth and the perfect consistency! I made a double batch and store in a mason jar in my bathroom cabinet. I apply to my entire body and face daily after showering and before bed. My skin has improved drastically in just one week!! The bag is small but will last forever!!! So much goodness and at a fraction of the cost of buying commercially!

The size of the bag is small, however it only takes a half a teaspoon to make a thick amount of 8 oz skin care product, I also added essential oil of my favor smell to it, 33 drops worth in 8 oz and it holds smell very well, I do have to give it a shake just to make sure fully blended each time, it seems to last outside of the refrigerator after set nicely, it did not take very long for it to set within the refrigerator I left mine overnight but I noticed a few hours after creation it was pretty much ready, but leaving it completely overnight I did notice it set even better. The value of the item versus how much you can make is amazing, this saves me so much money and now I can put this amazing conditioning product all over my skin and it feels good, it also absorbs very quickly in the skin not leaving a slimy feel, and once fully absorbed the skin feels like velvet. I didn't realize how dry my skin was until I started using this, this makes my skin feel so hydrated and smooth

While this bag of hyaluronic acid powder is small, only a very small amount is need to make skincare products such as serums which use about .75-1.5% hyaluronic acid mixed with ingredients such as distilled water, preservatives, essential oils, etc. This one has a high molecular weight meaning it doesn’t penetrate beyond the top layer of skin and won’t have the same irritating effects that a low molecular one could. It also creates a nice barrier-protecting film and helps the skin retain water, making it appear more supple and dewy. I’ve used very tiny amounts to mix with other skincare products such as my retinol serum or face oil. Too much powder will not allow it to dissolve and will be too drying for your skin so don’t use more than 1.5%. It helps I give my facial products a nice, silky feel. This powder is a good, affordable way to create your own products formulated exactly the way you want. Highly recommended!
