These cut easily and have a nice grain on them. All the sheets were flat and cut the right size

The label said 12x12. The actual size of this item is 3/16 smaller. Doesn’t mount to too much, just don’t like the misrepresentation.

Cuts with a diode laser really well. No annoying putty spots that can’t be cut. Took a little getting used to the grain style but looks good (I prefer some other sellers looks but these win for easy cutting. All the boards were mostly straight- no bad warping. One was a little scuffed on an edge but that was being cut off anyway so no problem there.I did have to modify the intensity and speed of the engraving and scoring to match other sellers products (slower and more intense).

Ordered 2 boxes for my engraver maybe had 6 sheets in total that were usable the rest was severely warped. The pic shows them COMPRESSED in the box

Pros:Smooth and mostly flat sheets (one had mild warping, but flattened out when put at the bottom of the stack)Surface is easy to paint or apply vinyl toPacked well for shippingCons:Exterior being a different texture from interior meant a fair amount of adjusting settings to get it to cut how I wantedThese basswood sheets were a great bulk option for using with my laser cutter. They’re pretty consistently smooth and evenly thick. This means that after the initial, sacrificial sheet where I spent a lot of time adjusting my settings, these have all cut well with the same settings since.The surface of these sheets has a different texture than the interior, which you can see in my photos. This is common with basswood sheets and gives you a nice smooth finish to work with for painting, faux staining, or applying vinyl.Overall, I would recommend these sheets. They arrived and were ready to use the same day, with the exception of one sheet with minor warping.

I bought the 18x12 inch version. It arrived quickly and was packaged well. I’ve been using it in my S1 laser engraver/cutter and it works well for the most part. The issue is that the sheets have a warp to them and thus the resultant pieces are not exactly flat. It just occurred to me that sometimes the cutting is inconsistent and perhaps that’s due to the warping.Overall, I would try a different brand next time in hopes of finding a more consistent flat sheet.
