ALTRAMen's Experience Flow Road Running Shoe

Comfortable from the moment I put them on. They do run about a 1/2 size large in my opinion. I wear heavy socks so fit is great for me.

I purchased this shoe for walking, not running. As usual, the standard fit with Altra is great because of the roomy toe box. I purchased the all black colour, and it's a good looking shoe, in my opinion. The midsole is not especially plush, but it is very comfortable. The only thing to consider is that the heel is bevelled, and the shoe is rockered, which is something I don't really like for walking, but nonetheless, the shoe feels good, and is also comfortable when standing. The minimal heel drop isn't that noticeable to me compared to the zero-drop shoes by Astra. The upper is breathable, but not as soft as some other uppers from Altra. Let's see if it softens after breaking in.

Great shoes. Wide toe box

These shoes are the perfect balance. As someone who desperately needed a wide toe box but could not handle the full zero drop, these are perfect. They are comfortable despite having almost too much cushion. The width is great and they are true to size. Really happy Altra is accommodating everyone’s needs in an athletic shoe. I would be happy with more 4mm drop options and a waterproof version! Also a grey color like the Via.

I have worn the ALTRA Provision shoes for a long time and really like the toe box and stability. There have been times when I got tired of the zero drop. I decided to try the Experience Flow line. I’m extremely impressed. They have the same toe box and stability with a little lift in the heel. They’re very comfortable. I highly recommend them.

If you want a Hoka style shoe with thicker sole and rocking motion as you step, this could be perfect for you. If you prefer the original Altra zero drop, don’t waste your time on this shoe. It is not minimalist style with good ground contact as it used to be. It’s much heavier than my 3 other Altra styles (one is a hiking boot; all purchased before 2025). Very disappointed that Altra has changed their brand.
