I have had several brands of mats over the years for my home gym. Although this is called a yoga mat, it is really a full workout mat. The yoga mats I have are very thin and light weight. This mat is made of dense foam to fully protect my back for floor exercises. It is the best of this type of mat that I have found to date. So far it has held up well and I expect it to hold its cushioning ability and last for a long time.

This yoga mat took almost 4 weeks to arrive, but I have to say that it was worth the wait. The mat is thick as advertised and pretty large. The mat came with nylon straps to keep it bundled together when not in use, which I feel is a nice addition.My doctor told me to start doing exercises but I was getting more and more issues doing it because of my hard flooring. Thankfully, this mat is thick enough to even support the heavier ones among us (meaning myself lol), and it gives plenty of cushion for my sore knees and back. It made a difference in my willingness to do exercises on a daily basis. I’m quite happy with this mat

The mat is indeed thicker than the typical yoga mat, which gives more protection to joints when the surface under the mat is hard. The mat is big enough to both me and my spouse to each (individually) fit on fully, particularly not having elbows hanging off in a relaxed laying down position. I would suggest airing the mat out a day or so before using it, as it did have a little bit of manufacturing smell when first unpacked. The included carry strap is basic but functional.

This mat is made of a fairly dense foam and is not as cushy as I'd hoped for the thickness. I wouldn't use it for sleeping on for example. The material is much more firm than our old Ecowise Mat and is more uncomfortable for my pelvic bones when lying down. The cushioning feels similar to a thinner (but still 1/4 inch thick) yoga mat I have that is made of similar material. Our old mat was maybe a little too cushy and made it harder to balance when doing certain exercises. But I was worried this one didn't provide enough cushion on top of our cork flooring. I thought I might have to return it but my husband was ok with it. If you're doing yoga, a thinner mat will probably feel similar.It had a chemical smell that bothered my husband (I didn't notice it much) which became less strong after he aired out out in the sun for a bit.The light cornflower blue color of the mat goes with our floor color well but shows dirt very easily.It is fine for yoga although the extra thickness is not necessary to get sufficient cushioning for yoga. May be a little firm if you're doing pilates or other types of exercises.

I got this for use as a camping sleeping pad, rather than as a yoga mat, but it worked great for that. Its large size was great because it meant not having to sleep uncomfortably rigid to stay on the mat, and no uncomfortable edges or uncomfortable body parts from laying on the ground instead of the mat. I was worried that the textured surface would make dirt and debris stick to the mat but a quick shake got rid of most of it, and wiping it off got rid of the rest. It is summer here so I cannot attest to how well it would insulate from chilly ground, but given the material that its made of, and how well it cushioned against the hard ground I suspect that it would be a very nice insulating layer.

I love that this nice and big mat is soft enough to protect my knees, but firm enough that my knees don’t sink and hit the floor. It’s large enough so that I can fit my whole body on it and not touch the floor. When it’s rolled out, it lays flat on the ground without curling up. It’s got a nice textured surface so that when wearing just socks, your feet won’t slide, and neither does the mat - the mat stays put. The included strap had elastic loops to hold your mat securely while transporting it.

This mat is quite thick and aired-out well after unpacking (no lingering smell). It is comfortable to use and stays put. Pink is not my color of choice but I needed a mat -- and this works just fine for solo Adho Mukha Vrksasana in my basement.

This exercise mat is 1/2 inch thick which provides all the cushion you need when exercising on the floor. The materials seemed to be of high quality and the dark green color makes the mat much more versatile and easy to use and clean. This mat is very comparable to those cost lot higher which I don't know why some of these are so expensive. This exercise mat is thick, very comparable in quality and comfort, and the price is very reasonable and in good value.
