The flavor grows on you.
Kashan Natural Saffron Syrup, Flavour Frappes, Add to Cocktails, Smoothies, Milkshakes and Coffee, Food Grade Baking, Food Flavoring, Beneficial For Health 16.9 Fl Oz (500ml) First impressions: Nice bottle full of light orange syrup. The syrup has a distinctive smell to it, I can see why someone thought it was styrofoam but it’s a bit different from that. I’m sure it’s just the smell of saffron as I have smelled the same while making saffron rice. Installation/setup: Add to drinks or baked goods for a distinctive flavor. Final thoughts: I added some syrup to a large glass of water. It added some flavor but it was more pleasant after I added some ice. The flavor is much better cold to me. I still smell the off odor, but it’s not really objectionable, just not something I am used to. The flavor grows on you. I like this and I’m glad I got it. ⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality. ⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend.

Yuck
This is sugar water with mint. No grape juice in it. Doesn't taste like grape. Yuck.

A Pleasant Red Berry Flavor
A good red berry syrup. I wasn't familiar with barberry as a food, but I do really like what I'm tasting. Has a taste of a red berry in a way that you would imagine. Not quite a grape, nor a black or blueberry. Sweet without being too sweet. Seems to be of a decent quality. Works great in everything from cocktails to smoothies. Can easily be used for all sorts of foods. Made in Turkey.

Would rate Barberry and Pomegranate a bit differently
I ordered the Barberry and Pomegranate flavors of this syrup and would probably rate them slightly differently, especially the taste. I've never had barberry before but read that it's similar to cranberry. I agree with that description but think that it tastes a little sweeter with not as sharp of a tang. I tried it first on shaved ice and really liked it a lot. The pomegranate flavor of this syrup is a lot more subdued and not as in-your-face as the barberry. It is still a nice flavor, but I like the barberry more. The barberry syrup arrived very sticky and covered in syrup on the outside. I was worried it may have broken during shipping, but the seals were all intact, so I think it got messy during the bottling and/or packaging process. I wiped it off as best as I could but it is still a bit sticky to the touch even now, which is a big part of why I knocked my review down a star. The pomegranate bottle arrived clean. The caps of the bottles were a little harder to open than I usually see on these kinds of products. The pomegranate bottle in particular cut kind of jagged and gave me a scratch on my finger after opening. As others have mentioned, the labels also do not seem accurate. I first noticed that on the front it recommends to dilute the syrup in 6 parts water to 1 part syrup. When I made syrup for my shaved ice I only did about a 1-to-1 ratio and that was more than enough dilution. I would actually prefer to not dilute this for applications such as shaved ice, ice cream topping, or even in a marinade for cooking. The ingredients seem correct on mine with just juice, citric acid, sugar, water as the ingredients, but the nutrition facts say that there are 23 grams of protein in each of the syrups, which is very hard to believe, and lists 0 grams of added sugar, despite sugar being an ingredient. I like the flavor of the syrups very much and will use them in several applications in my kitchen, but there are some negatives as well. I would give this closer to a 3.5/5 all things considered, but I like the barberry flavor a lot so I've rounded up.

Bad taste and brown color
I expected the pink color I usually get from pomegranate syrup. I mixed this with vodka to make a martini. My drink was a brown color. I don't like the taste either.

Delicious & Versatile Grape Syrup
This grape syrup is absolutely delicious—mint water makes its flavor pop. Directions on the bottle say to simply mix water with syrup, but there are plenty of other ways to use this versatile liquid. Anyone who eats lamb with mint sauce will appreciate this—it is very similar in flavor.. For that reason, we use this syrup almost exclusively with lamb recipes/sauces/marinades, but it makes a very refreshing drink too. The grape syrup is made in Turkey—I find this 16.9 oz size to be very economical, and it also has a long expiration date. Once opened, it stays more fresh when kept in a refrigerator.

Nice but a bit leaky
I use lemon or lime juice to flavor water, with a touch of sugar - as this already is sweetened, it seemed a great item to try. The bottle arrived with a bit of stickiness on the outside, worse when I broke off the plastic seal around the lid. Does that mean it's compromised? I'm not sure, but I tried it anyway. I added a splash to a shaker cup of cool tap water (I'm classy like that) and shook it for all I was worth before sipping, and the flavor encouraged me to chug a bit more than normal. It's nice - I can see adding it to other items for flavor, but water will most likely be my main goal. I appreciate that there is no faux sugar flavor, which makes it much more refreshing. The bottle is tall, slim, and elegant, begging to be reused if I can remove the label. The nutrition information seems questionable - the ingredients are pomengranate juice, sugar, citric acid, and water, which someone turned into 22g of protein? Doubtful. This makes me disbelieve the entire nutrition and ingredient panel.
