Ditch that Walmart bargain reel!
I bought this to replace one that came with a fishing pole from Wal-Mart. This reel works excellent, and allows me to cast much farther without getting my line tangled up when reeling my line in. Diawa makes a quality reel without breaking the bank. I highly recommend this reel or any other Diawa reel.

Good for a cheap reel
Like most things you get what you pay for. It really is a pretty good reel for the price. A high ender it’s not, but makes a good reel to keep in the truck for impromptu sessions or a good backup.

It is as good as I remember in my younger days
I used Daiwa spinning reals when I was young. Just now got back into fishing with my grandson and purchased this medium spinning real by Daiwa. It is as good as I remember in my younger days. No problems, casts without problems easy to real back.

Completely destroyed and dirty reel, like after 10 years of use
The media could not be loaded. Worst Scam Ever!!!Instead of new I received compeltely destroyed and dirty reel. Shame on you Daiwa! You said in the description that you sell only NEW reels and what I received is garbage! Never buy from this store again!

Daiwa spinning rod
Reel is too heavy. The rod is unbalanced. I will stick to buying KastKing reels they are more ergonomic and everything has a good balance when you cast out. Also handle could have been a tad shorter. Don't like the feel, it feels awkward. Do NOT recommend for a light or light/medium rod. Will buy a heavy rod and see how that pans out.

Very comfortable and easy to use.
Great for freshwater fishing, I've caught a ton of fish and have not had any problems with this reel. I liked it so much I bough a second for another pole.

Great reel for the price.
I have always been a fan of these reels,as a kid, I didn't have a large amount of money to spend on expensive fishing equipment. These types of reels made it possible to go fishing to enjoy the outdoors and maybe catch something to prepare for dinner. I retired now and still use these quality reels, to enjoy the outdoors and not break the bank doing it. I can highly recommend these for the beginning and even the experienced angler.
