Everything came as expected when I ordered the Smart Dry Flush Toilet. I moved to a new area last October and have been unable to find housing. I am 'camping' at a friend's house in my truck camper while starting my new job and looking for a home. It's winter and I didn't want to keep water in my tank, not to mention having to empty the gray and black tanks every few days. I decided to purchase this product so I wouldn't have to go into the house to use my friend's facilities in the house during the middle of the night when temperatures are single digit or freezing. I also didn't want to deal with emptying a composting toilet.This product seemed like the perfect solution. I bought the toilet in November in preparation for the coldest months. The only thing I had to do was unfold the legs to set it up. The battery was ready charged so it was ready to use right away. The directions for setting up the refills were easy to follow, though the first couple of times, I kept the directions handy.Pros:The bags are sealedThere is no odor, once the bag gets sealedFits nicely in the shower stall of the camper bathroom and I don't need to take it out of the shower stall to use.I've used it every day and it is sturdy and I am not worried about the legs collapsing.The waste bags are easy to dispose.Cons:I wish the refills were opaque, but at least its a white and not clear plastic. The contents after use can be seen.You do need to purchase refills - worth it not to have to empty separated solids and liquids or to clean those receptacles.

Great, light weight toilet. Easier cleanup than flushing a black tank for sure. Having it's own internal battery makes boondocking a cinch. The sealed bag sections hold in the smell and the coagulant works well. As others have stated, it's about $1 per flush and there's no other provider for refills. So that can be a bummer. However, the manufacturer is accurate in saying about 30 flushes per bag roll.For the men: First, here is no way I've found to avoid splash back if standing while doing number 1 (I don't dare go right on the heat-sealed seam). Second, while sitting, your part will touch the bag in front. So, scoot back for number one and scoot forward for number two to make sure everything goes into the right spot.

We purchased this as a back up toilet option for our home. We have a well and septic system. If the power goes out, we have no water and can't flush. If we get lots and lots of rain, our septic system will not function fully and we can't flush the toilet. Since we live in GA, we get hurricanes, tropical storms and strong thunder storms throughout the year. Having the dry flush toilet makes surviving storms and power outages much more comfortable.The toilet setup is very easy. I charged the battery completely and unplugged it. The instructions did not mention this step, but I always like to full charge rechargeable batteries before using them. The rest of the instructions are easy to follow and our toilet setup properly as per the instructions.Using the toilet could not be easier. Do your business, press the "flush" button and let it do its thing. Then throw away the bag.We do camp from time to time and not having to worry if where we are camping has bathroom facilities really opens up the amount of options for camping. Pooping in the woods is just not my thing, but having the Modiwell in our camping gear makes that possible.The Modiwell Smart Dry Flush Toilet is worth every penny. I just wish I found it sooner!
