Amazon Basics Kids Bookcase 7 Storage Shelves White 40.1"L x 11.8"W x 24"H

We purchased this little book shelf for our 19 month son. We LOVE IT! It's not only the perfect size for him (he's currently just shy of 3ft tall), plus room to grow. The shelf can hold his collection of over 45 books (and then some) including the large board books. We don't understand why there are so many complaints about it being to small... logically you check the specs and measurements to see if it'll fit in your home before buying. The max weight is 150lbs (which means a small adult can sit on it. It was easy to assemble cause everything was labeled (super organized). You do need a long and short + screwdriver (space reasons). The foam padding does smell a bit when you take it out of the box, but it goes away after you let it air out over night (same as the foam mattress you might order). We also washed the cushion covers... cause you know, we wash everything before our kid touches it (and covid). Also the cushions are loose and not attached to the shelf, an east fix with sticky velco, but we like that it's not attached. Our son likes to take the cushion of and use it as a seat on the floor infront of the shelf so he can take his time picking out the next book he wants to read. We been watching this item for a while, and bought it when the price dropped below $90.

Absolutely fantastic. Thrilled to find a reading nook that looks good with Montessori shelving. Best part is that it’s actually made of wood and not MDF or particle board. For amazon furniture and especially the price... I am very impressed. FYI - I suggest buying a roll of Velcro tape to keep the cushion from sliding off. I grabbed one on here for $8 or something like that. Completely worth it. I also added adhesive rubber floor protection on the bottom to keep from sliding and scratching floor. Only thing it’s missing is covers/plugs for the furniture screws. Even stickers would be nice. Not visible on outside of shelf. Waiting for the vasagle storage bench to come back in stock so I can have matching storage with padding.

Very nice book shelf! My son loves it! Easy to assemble. There was a little bit of splitting when splitting in the screws but once the other pieces were installed you couldn't even see it. The material seemed very sturdy and not cheap at all. I do wish it was a little bit wider so we could fit a few more books but we do have a lot of books. My son loves the seat and sits there to read or watch videos. Would recommend and would definitely buy again if we had room for another.

I’ve used this bookshelf to hold my daughter’s books for a few months now and have been very happy with it. I think it looks great, and it is able to hold books of varying sizes quite well due to its design. It has also been able to withstand the weight of an adult standing on top of it. My only criticism is that it would be nice if there were some way to help hold the cushions in place more securely, as the cushions just rest on top and are easily knocked off.

Beautiful, solid wood, sturdy and functional! I've been wanting to get this style book case for over a year but did not want to buy KidsKraft due to their very poor craftsmanship. We bought a kitchen set from them and it was so flimsy and essentially fell apart since it was made of thin fiber board/mdf plywood. This bookcase was solid wood, light, but sturdy. They include hardware to bolt to the wall to prevent tip over. Everything fit well together and was packaged very securely. Instructions were pretty clear and everything was labeled properly. My only minor gripe was that the bead board sticker for one of the backs was very difficult to remove causing me to tear the finish. Didn't matter much since the books cover everything though. Overall excellent purchase and very reasonable price.

I love this bookshelf! I bought for my 2 year old, it matches the other furniture in his room perfectly. It was super easy to assemble, even with my son "helping" and hanging all over me. Very sturdy, plenty of room for books of all sizes, and it comes with hardware to mount to the wall. My 15 year old even sat on it and I didn't hear any cracking but I didn't let her stay long! The only downside was that the cushions are loose, and it slips when he tries climbing in it or he just picks them up and throws them. I bought some Velcro pads to secure them and that works perfectly. Worth the money.

Bench was easy to assemble- it took me about an hour and I’m not great with a screwdriver. On par with a lot of Ikea furniture, and I mean that as a compliment. I was pretty surprised at the quality, to be honest. The holes were cleanly drilled, and the boards felt sturdy. It looks nice in my child’s room. My one complaint is that nothing attaches the cushions to the bench, so the first thing my toddler does is toss them on the floor. Then again, they’re going to toss things on the floor anyway, so it might as well be easy to pick up cushions?

Sturdy, perfect for my boys room so he can have a little spot of his own. Easy to assemble. Feels like decent quality for the low price. My biggest issue with this is it STINKS. I had to let the box air out before I could assemble it, 2 days later I assembled it and then let it air out for another 3 days before putting it in my child’s room. It’s a sickening smell that is giving me a headache and making me nauseous as I write this next to it. Really hope it goes away.

LOVE! A great kids bookcase. The shelves hold a surprising number of books...I was planning a second bookcase for the space but won't need to do that just yet. My daughters love the reading nook, but the padding isn't the greatest quality and I'll probably have to replace them eventually. The actual bookcase itself was easy to put together by myself and it is well made. The bookcase came extremely well packaged (bonus: all Styrofoam bits were shrink wrapped to keep things mess free!). I would definitely recommend this product!

This book case is adorable! It's abit small so definitely check the measurements before buying it. The size was exactly what we needed to fit in the corner of our living room. It fits a decent amount of books and toys in the little cubbies. Assembling it takes alittle time but is fairly straight forward. Overall great little book case for the kids!

This is a really nice book case! It was simple to build and seems sturdy, so it was money well spent. the only problem I’ve had is the strong smell it has. Even after over 3 weeks being used it still has an overpowering chemical smell.

This bookcase with seat is awesome. My son loves it, it keeps his room tidier and it looks really nice, very sturdy too. Recommend 👍🏻

I like this little reading nook. Safe height for our toddler, I'm not worried about her pulling the books down and hurting herself. She loves her books and likes to visit the shelf. It's sturdy and doesn't really need to be secured to a wall because it's so low and wide, but they give you the tools for that option.
