Good serviceable rain jacket with lots of visibility but needs more pockets!
This raincoat has a lot of really brilliant features (some literally - the retro-reflective striping is quite bright even if it's not got an official ANSI rating), a good deep hood that actually helps keep rain off your face, effective Velcro cuffs to customize the fit at the wrist, zippered outer pockets to keep items at hand and secured, and has a convenient see-through pouch on the chest if you were inclined to put your work ID or visitor's pass where it's easily seen. The material it's made of is relatively durable, though I do note it's a 'slicker' and not insulated in any way, so it keeps you dry but it might not keep you warm - you'll need to rely on proper layering to stay warm if that's an issue. The over all construction quality is pretty good too, without wonky seams or areas that didn't get joined properly. I'd say the hood itself is almost over-engineered, but it would help keep your face a lot drier than most rain coats I've had, so over all it's a plus. The zippers and hook-and-loop tape and such are all much higher quality than I really expected, and over all I would say this rain coat is a notch above what you might find at your local mega-mart, but maybe a notch below what you'd get at a dedicated work-wear outlet. The fit is roomy in the shoulders and arms without adding a lot of extra bulk and material that just gets in the way so it can fit over your every day work jacket when it's raining. It runs pretty true to size. It suggested I order an XL and it fit me pretty well over my usual spring/fall jackets and winter coat, as I'm not particularly tall but I am on the stout side. Even over my work-wear, there is plenty of room in the chest and shoulders, and the coat goes well past my hips to help keep most of me dry in wet weather.I personally will wind up adding some waterproofing to the seams, just to help with keeping me dry - around here when it rains, it tends to be super windy too, and it will drive the moisture right through an unsecured seam. The pockets, of which there are 4, just don't seem to be 'enough' though. There's plenty of room where they could have added another 2 internal pockets so you could carry items without worrying that they'd get wet. I also noticed that there are loops on the chest for attaching a small mic for a radio -- but no pass through, making it awkward to carry a transmitter in either set of pockets. So it's little small things that could have been a bit better. I didn't get mine custom printed, as offered, though now I feel that might have been a missed opportunity to mess with my neighbors a little by putting something like 'Mysterious Unnamed Corporate Entity' or some such on there, but that's on me.Honestly, I wish I could give half stars, because this really is like a 4.5 star item, and not a 4, but it's not QUITE a 5 either. That said, it's a good price point, and a good item. I do recommend it.

Durable, High Visibility.
CONS: Ventilation.PROS: Durable. High Visibility. Water proof.Additional Thoughts: I got this because I try to not let rain stop me from working outside. I have only had it a couple months and since it is summer in Alabama, it is hot out and this jacket does not breath well but it does keep the rain off. When I wore it during a rain and it was 90+F out, it was a bit uncomfortable because of the heat and humidity it trapped inside. I also wore the jacket when it was in the 70sF and was much more comfortable. The elbow area seems to be slightly tight, movement restricting but not unusable at all. Maybe its something that I just need to get used to. The material is very thin and slick so the water just rolls right off. The seems are all put together well and look like they are melted together which helps keep water out. This material will not keep you warm because it is so thin. I got the XL Black jacket and the reflective area is a grey color, not like the white I see in the pictures. The jacket is very contrasting with the reflective grey, orange, black so it may be a good option if riding a bike or motorcycle. The ID holder is another bonus but does look like it could get small amounts of water on the sides of the top of the pocket in the most extreme rain events. Overall I think this is a very good jacket. Pictures are with and without flash to show the colors and reflectivity.LovingTheRetiredLife

lightweight, but rugged, raingear
I’ve been putting the KwikSafety BLACK TORRENT Rain Jacket to the test during some intense Texas thunderstorms, and it's held up well. At around $50, it’s a solid option for anyone needing reliable rain gear. The jacket is lightweight, which makes it comfortable to wear for extended periods, but don't let that fool you—it's rugged enough to handle serious weather. When I first unboxed it, there was a bit of a smell, but that quickly dissipated after a little time in the Sun.One thing I appreciate is the highly visible markings. They’re a great safety feature, especially in low-light conditions. Overall, this rain jacket does what it’s supposed to, keeping me dry during the worst storms while being comfortable to wear.An STG Synergies BTN Enterprises Review!

High Visibility water barrier
This jacket will keep you dry albeit warm if you are active and highly visible. The 3m is just about everywhere on this jacket so if a light flashes at you from any direction you will light up like a Christmas tree in the dead of night. The jacket is thin like most rain gear and waterproof. It seems to be well constructed for what it is.Until We Meet Again-Off the Grid Ken
