Ultra Fine Lightweight Powder For A Soft Matte Finish-Contains Moderately Strong Perfume
Caron translucent powder is an ultra fine, perfumed powder for dry and sensitive skin. It comes in an elegant container with a removable sifter and a luxuriously plush powder puff that picks up powder well and feels so soft against my skin. I’m in my 50’s with dry skin, and some powders accentuate my fine lines or make my skin look ashy. But this Caron powder is so fine and lightweight that it isn’t even visible shortly after application. It sets my makeup so it looks fresh longer and provides a lovely, matte finish that leaves my skin velvety soft. I’m often sensitive to fragrance and the scent is moderately strong when I open the powder container, but I don’t find it too strong when I dust my face and it doesn’t trigger my allergies or a headache. This is a beautiful powder that I’m rating 5 stars, with the caveat that EWG indicates that talc and fragrance pose potential health risks. Made in France.

Caron Paris Loose Powder
The powder itself is very finely milled and it reminds me of something my grandmother used with the poofy ball and all but I can not get past the smell. When I first opened it, I thought I accidentally ordered a perfumed powder but nope. I did try it this morning and five seconds in, my eyes started to water and I had to wash it off. It actually clashed with my perfume.Again, I'm sure this is a fine powder but if you have allergies or wear perfume, be aware of this heavily scented product.

Heavily perfumed light dusting powder with a "Hollywood behind the scenes" feel
CARON PARIS loose powder has been around since 1906 and has a classic scent and vintage appeal. The loose powder reduces shine, balances my complexion, and makes my face look bright and healthy. It is heavily scented and comes with a large puff to use on the decolletage and neck. It reminds me of something used behind the scenes with movie stars. Though I like the functionality of this product I feel that the ingredients are basic and overhyped. At this time this is being considered a premium product but the ingredients tell otherwise. I am passionate about beauty care and know the importance of finding products that match their descriptions. The ingredients in this formula are as following and from what I have gathered are quite basic and are in many formulas and can be found in bulk.Talc-softest mineral on earth and easily found- companies should certify that their talc is asbestos free.Magnesium carbonate- is a basic ingredient (a mineral) used for Opacifying, Bulking, absorbing, and bindingMagnesium Myristate- Is a magnesium salt of myristic acid and is a slip modifier, viscosity increasing agent, among other functions- basicZinc Stearate- a fatty acid used for anti-caking and a colorant among other things. This is a commonly found ingredient.hydroxyisohexyl- is a fragrance and masking agent. Those are the top ingredients and there are various others including perfume various iron oxides and other ingredients that are very common. I did not find anything in this product that would make this an extremely premium product which is what it is being considered. I think it smells lovely and has a lovely look and feel but just because it has been manufactured since 1906 in an aluminum container with a powder puff and has a lovely scent does not mean it has premium ingredients. The "highly technical" formula it has in the description contains quite basic ingreients. It is also heavily perfumed and would not be suited for someone with allergies or easily irritated skin. I like that it smells and looks nice on my skin but it does not appear to be what it says it is both on my skin or what I have researched. As long as you dont mind that it does not contain specialized ingredients and are looking for a highly fragranced "vintage hollywood" type of powder then this will be a nice choice because it does look pretty.

Smells like roses - very nice finish, evens out my fair color well -doesn't feel like makeup
I love this! This is so light that I can't feel it on my face. It's great for days I don't want to wear makeup. Still, it does a good of adding a very nice even finish that evens out my color well. I have very fair skin - I usually wear a porcelain or ivory in a foundation - and this looks very natural and pretty on me.It smells like roses, and it comes in a very silver, pretty case with a luxurious puff for application and a screen to sift the powder. It's a product that looks nice on a dresser. It lasts about 4 hours on me in climate controlled conditions when I am not doing much. My skin is dry but can get oily in the t zone. If your skin is oily you might need to apply it more often. I don't find that the color changes with this - it doesn't get orange-y.One star off though because it does contain talc and I'm not sure I trust talc. It supposedly is safe in cosmetics. My husband said just don't powder your girl bits with it and you should be fine. Easy for a guy to laugh it off I guess, but I try not to buy products with any talc.

Very fine powder
My face gets oily throughout the day and I prefer using powder over blotting papers. This one works really well - it soaks up the excess oil from my face and leaves my skin feeling soft, while also leaving a nice, matte finish. There's a strong, floral scent to it that I like a lot.

Good Facial Powder
I don't use much powder and when I do it's to cover the shine of my under eye concealer. I put moisturizer on first, then the concealer and it can get a bit of sheen on it making it obvious I'm wearing it. The powder helps to reduce to sheen to nothing. I didn't notice any perfume smell when I opened this jar of Caron Paris powder. it is very soft and light and is the best powder I've ever used, and I've reviewed a good amount of them. I would never pay $70.00 for it (the cost as of this review) but again, it does seem to be very good quality, including the puff.
