Swanson TMG Trimethylglycine - Amino Acid Supplement Promoting Healthy Liver Function & Heart Health Support - (90 Capsules, 500mg Each)

My Dr recommended Betaine (in conjunction with B vitamins and folate) to lower my homocysteine levels and help combat depression. I originally used Betaine HCL that was included in an enzyme supplement, but the enzymes disagreed with me, and I didn’t notice any help with my depression, so I opted to try Betaine TMG. This TOTALLY helps my depression, and is the first thing that’s helped without disastrous side effects for me. Prescription anti-depressants have all had negative consequences for me, even in low doses, as have many natural supplements. This is literally the first thing that hasn’t (I’m 45, dealing with bipolar depression for many years). The depression relief is apparently related to TMG’s impact on homocysteine levels (“drastically improved”, per my Dr), methylation, and systemic inflammation. Great supplement. I haven’t tried any other brands to compare this to.

Swanson is a brand I trust. I have purchased vitamins from this company for several years. Their product quality is excellent and I have always had a positive experience with the items I've purchased. TMG is a blessing. It is a very affordable alternative to taking SAM-d daily for depression. I take this product daily and can tell when I miss it. I love that the benefits are noticed within 2 hours of taking the product. I've been using it for several years. I have recommended it to several friends.

This TMG was a very good value for this kind of product. I'm not really sure that I can tell a difference on the performance though.

Have a nutritionist and she recommended this TMG. Everyone is different what, works, however I was having lots of itching of skin all over body can’t sleep been 6 months crazy! Thinking food allergies and trouble Shooting. I found that the main cause of my itching was liver gallbladder issues. I’m 30 eat well do intermittent fasting and cupping , fascia blasting whole body. The detox from all I’m sure is causing my liver to be overloaded. Taking this before a meal has cured me. No itching at all at night. I also believe liver issue comes at night for some reason. I also take other supplements but this was key. I was also told to take “ Douglas Labs Bilex” but felt like it made me more itchy ??? I need to trouble shoot that again. This TMG also helps with mood disorders I do feel a bit calmer. Making up for many months lost sleep 💤

I was disappointed that the expiration dates for the bottles I ordered weren't for as long as I'd hoped. I ordered the TMG in Feb. 2026, and the expiration dates are Sept 2026 (7 months from date of purchase) and Mar 2027 (13 months from date of purchase). So just a heads-up for anyone else buying in bulk.

I feel healthier... could be placebo effect... but will continue to take as long as I see results

I've only just started using it no side effects yet but it's the only one I could find that's 500 mg

Tomei por conta da minha homocisteína que estava em 12,8… Fiz novos exames (6 meses depois) e esta 6,5!!!! Indico demais. Tomo 2 caps antes de dormir.

Comprei porque diz que ajuda baixar a homocisteína.
