WONDERFUL WONDER WOMAN
Well what can I say.13 discs, five for season 1, 4 for season 2 and 4 for season 3. If you were to watch each one back to back there is nearly 3 days worth of viewing if you stop up 24 hours a day.I remember this when I was a kid and I loved it then.It has brought back some great memories watching it, and there are a couple of extras on some of the discs. This is my Christmas present to myself, and what a price, it's cheaper to buy this one than all of the other ones individually and I have never seen this in the shops yet.Lynda Carter has to be one of the most beautiful women on the plant (and still is), she is Wonder Woman. The box set contains all of the episodes ever made, taking you from the original World War II episodes in Season one through to the 'modern' stuff in Seasons 2 and 3.And the theme tune has to be one of the best ever written for a TV show. This box set is a MUST for all fans of this show. The best purchase I have ever made.

a great 1970's show
This is the complete "Wonder Woman" TV series starring the beautiful Lynda Carter. The show originally aired from 1975 to 1979, and consists of 59 episodes (as well as a feature length pilot). All three seasons of the show are presented in this DVD boxset, which comprises of 13 discs. Each DVD case is slim line, and they're housed in a sturdy and attractive outer-case. The discs are double sided, so you have to flip them over in order to watch everything. This is a region 2 boxset, so plays on British machines. In season one, Wonder Woman is introduced to the world. She's the daughter of the Amazon queen on the mysterious Paradise Island (which is hidden within the Bermuda Triangle). It's World War 2, and American pilot Major Steve Trevor (Lyle Waggoner) finds himself on the island after bailing out of his plane. He's injured and in need of care, and later requires accompanying back to the USA - so Princess Diana (soon to be known as Wonder Woman) provides assistance. She's strong and fast, wears bullet-deflecting bracelets, and possesses the golden lasso of truth. And so, using an invisible place, Wonder Woman takes Major Trevor home. Once in "Man's World", Wonder Woman becomes a superhero - fighting for justice while helping those in need.In seasons two and three, the show is set in the 1970's ... as Wonder Woman is an immortal, she's not aged. As her alter ego, Diana Prince, she now works for the Inter-Agency Defense Command (IADC), which fights crime and alien invasion. She's still working with Steve Trevor - but now it's Trevor Jr. As these seasons progress, we get to see Wonder Woman in more action-based scenes, fighting and leaping over buildings. There's an assortment of comic book style villains.Generally speaking, each episode is a stand alone adventure. Lynda Carter makes a fantastic Wonder Woman - and, indeed, it's this actress that defines the show. The theme tune is great - and is brilliantly used when Diana Prince spins to transform into Wonder Woman. This show has great nostalgic value ... although new, younger viewers might still enjoy it. It's a fun, light-hearted series - and is thoroughly entertaining.
