People who have had Nutella already know all about it and for the first timers my suggestion will be "Close your eyes and just go for it." I bought two bottles from Amazon again and as tasty as it is the empty bottles are sitting near the dustbin within 3-4 days of buying this "Mother of Spreads". So, hands up you're missing on a lot if you didn't have a taste of this baby! But this review isn't for Nutella; it's rather about my experience with Amazon. I placed the order and within 2-3 days the product was out for delivery to me. It was just this last weekend and suddenly out of the blue it started raining cats and dogs here. I certainly wasn't expecting someone to brave all that to come and deliver orders to their customers, so I made a fresh pot of tea and snugged under the blanket for some good movies to make better use of the weekend. The bell rang frantically half way around the movie and I went to the door in utter dismay to find a half-wet guy in a raincoat with the brown Amazon delivery box in hand. All this when the rains have already started flooding the street and people are trying to shelter themselves under the shops. I never thought a damn order meant that much to them, even if it's for just some Nutellas. On humanity basis I called the guy in for a cup of tea at least. He kept on denying as he had some more orders to deliver too, but after my 7th or 8th request he at last gave up. I went in. I came back with the cup of tea to see him talking over the phone to another customer whose delivery he was supposed to make. The guy on the other side was shouting so loudly at him, it was evidently audible to me from a distance too. I couldn't stop myself and took the phone from his hand. "It's raining heavily as you might see, and he just got my order delivered. Cut him some slack." I said. To which the guy in the phone retorted "How does it matter to me? I don't know. I want my order right now. I paid for this and it's part of his job. He's supposed to do that." Oh humanity!! I felt like pulling him out of the phone to punch him right in the face. It was raining hell outside and this guy didn't even have the decency to understand how a person goes from door to door to make sure that even sucky people like him get their damn orders. The delivery guy took his phone back with a smile. Put on his raincoat. Took my signature. Covered his oversize bag again with polythene. Started his bike and roared off in that nasty rain. Maybe some of us do lack a certain decency. The hot cup of tea was still in my hand as I kept wondering "Oh humanity!" Amazon has won over me for sure as million others of their customers in India. Now it'll take a hell lot to make me go for anyone else after getting to see this level of obsession by the most customer centric company on Earth. God bless!
