Stay Safe and Secure with This Reliable Retractable Lifeline!
This is a great lifeline! The 6ft alloy steel big hook is incredibly easy to attach, and the corrosion-resistant material ensures it will last through many jobs. The instant fall prevention function gives me peace of mind, knowing that the lifeline will extend or retract smoothly as I move. The shock-absorbing strap is a great feature – it engages instantly, providing that extra layer of safety when I need it most. The self-locking O-ring hook is super convenient, making it easy to secure and release with just one hand. I’ve used this lifeline while climbing ladders and working on various projects, and it has consistently performed well. The rotating top and alloy steel hooks are compatible with my existing safety belt, making it a versatile addition to my kit. If you’re in need of reliable fall protection for any high-risk job, this retractable lifeline is a must-have!

Not good quality.
Cheap. Broke within a week of using it. Never buying this brand again.

6 foot Fall Arrestor
This 6 foot self-retracting safety lifeline lanyard is Heavy Duty and yet is relatively light in weight. It works instantly to stop a fall with it attached to your personal safety harness or belt with the Self-Locking Safety Hook and the Swiveling attached Locking Carabiner Hook securely anchored above. Very Simple and Easy to use.I would suggest this to be a perfect fall safety tool that can easily be put to service in many scenarios from working on the job at heights of rooftops etc or for personal use during hunting season from tree stands, AWESOME!FYI, This has a plastic sealed bundle, as seen in the photo, that will pop open during a fall that is designed to act as a buffering mechanism to be left intact as is per the manufacturer. The intended design will take the sudden snap out of a fall absorbing it with a slowing down effect, it’s a very ingenious additional safety system that’s seamlessly integrated in this fantastic lifeline. It is made of excellent tough materials throughout, handles very easily, is lightweight and meets ANSI Safety Standards.

The shock absorber doesn't stay put so when I was leaning , I had to grab it quick and shove it back into the plastic that it comes in so that I wouldn't go any further.

Extremely sturdy, hope I never have to use it
This is WAY more study and beefy than I expected. The clamps are HUGE. Since I am unwilling to jump off a roof to fully test it, I am going to believe, based on the overall product that it will perform as expected if the need ever occurs. I am comfortably within their weight range, stated on the strap as 130-310 lba, which I took as lbs. you can see that in the photo. This is the 6' version and you use it 'as is' with the strap contained in plastic.

Hm. How do you know?
Here's the tough thing. How do you *know* if something like this is actually well-made? If it's too cheap, you won't know until it's too late, and if you "test" it, the fall arrestor is expended and you have to replace it. You can only base your assumptions on visible material qualities and general fit and finish. Those at least are present: the materials and fit and finish seem to be of high quality construction. The manual says that it meets the requirements of European Directive 89/686/EC, whatever that means.

I retired this from use. It doesn't have the same build quality as the ones I'm used to using
The retractables I got from the roofing supplier locally (Guardian brand I think), seem to be way better built. This one is extremely light. Ridiculously light actually! It literally feels like all the internals are plastic, minus maybe the spring. That's what's concerning. It doesn't feel like it would be able to handle a fall like my others. I'm not saying it won't handle a fall and I could be wrong, I just don't want to findout.
