Fizik Men's Modern Cycling Shoe, 1

Great winter bike shoes with enough insulation and full coverage all the way to the ankles. However, the size is ridiculously off. I have ordered a US 10 and this was what Amazon stated in the order description. What I have was US 8 1/4, which was way off from US 10...The product itself seems awesome, but I am unable to keep this due to the wrong size (I was laughing why people were furious about its size chart, but now I fully understood their frustration).At least, the return process was so easy (drop off at Whole Food Amazon return section), and refunds were done immediately. I expect Amazon should put more clear information on its size and ship the matching item at least (10 vs. 8 1/4, seriously??).

Fist I ordered the size 42 which amazon said was a size 11. I wear a size 11 in Adidas and Nike. My foot is on the narrow side. The 42s were very tight so I returned them and got 43.5. They fit like I think an 11 should fit but are still to tight for winter shoes. If you want to wear thicker socks then you need to go bigger. My feet aren't freezing anymore but they could be warmer if I had enough room to wear thicker socks with out it being so tight. Other than that I am very happy with them. My feet stay dry and are a lot warmer. If I ordered again, however, I would get at least a size 44.

They fit on-size, but it's tighter than I'd like when wearing thick winter socks. I should have gone half a size up.

These shoes are amazing. I'd been suffering through numb toes in my summer shoes (with double socks and shoe covers). No more! I'd compare the warmth and waterproofing to a ski or snowboard boot; on the coldest days, you'll still feel a chill, but they're definitely good at what they're made for.The five stars are for the shoes, not the buying experience. I ordered a men's 12 because, when I clicked on that size, it showed up as "Fizik X5 Artica 43 Shoe, Black (X5ARTIC18-1010-43)." I usually wear a 41 and figured I could work with a 43 because they were SUPER discounted (down to $67). I wasn't sure whether I'd get a 12 or a 43, but with free returns, I gave it a try. I was thrilled when 43s arrived, but if I really needed a men's 12 I would have been very disappointed.Sizing up allowed me to add an extra insole (any additional separation from the cleat is a good thing in my book!) and double up my socks (one very thin synthetic layer and one SmartWool layer). This system worked, and I'd still have room for toe warmers if I needed them. They're obviously too big compared to what would be ideal - if I wasn't discount hunting, my regular size (41) or one size up (42) would be perfect.Amazon sizing issues aside, huge shoutout to Fizik for making it possible for me to ride in the depths of winter!

Was excited to get this boot for the wet, cold winters here in the PNW. The boot seems solid, it was waterproof and kept my feet warm and dry. Zipper was always a bit hard to close, especially around the foot-ankle transition. Bought these in Feb 2020. It is April 2022. This morning on my commute ride, the zipper split. I had to struggle to get my foot out of the boot. Cannot re-zip the zipper as it is well stuck at the top. Complete loss for this shoe...not sure how I am going to pedal back home. I will probably have to cut the zipper at the top so I can get my foot back in to ride home. Giving one star because of quality. At this price, this kind of thing should not happen.

Initial impressions are great. Have had these out in 50*F weather with thin socks and they were a little too warm. That bodes well for colder temps with merino socks.

Road with these shoes in low 40’s upper 30’s and my feet stayed warm. Did get cold below 30 but there’s enough space between the inner and outer boot to throw in a hand warmer

They have been great in the cooler weather and have done well to reduce road spray and wind penetration...warm toes are great. Make sure to lap a water resistant layer over the top in rain for better effect.The boot size I ordered fit as expected.The boot could benefit with a 2 to 5 mm shift off the center cleat mount to accommodate wider footed people; the instep side is uncomfortably close to the crank.I do not recommended for extended walking as the boot is designed with reduced articulation at ankle.

Have now used these down to freezing temperatures and in the torrential rain. They are expensive but super value given the fact they are warm and water proof. I am a leisure cyclist and don't normally spend this much on cycling stuff but these were a great buy. Highly recommended. Just ensure you get the right size.

These look like quite nice boots, reasonable materials and construction.As others have likewise noted over the past year or two, it’s very difficult to get the right size — due to their website error, the size you order is not the size Amazon ships. Three times wrong. But if you put an item in your basket, the true size they plan to send you will show. No luck getting a fix.

The media could not be loaded.  Inizialmente ero un pò scettico, in quanto alcune recensioni riportavano di problemi dei lacci e della cerniera. Bene innanzitutto dopo attente valutazioni ho provveduto all'acquisto, normalmente calzo il 42 ma avendo un pò di pianta larga ho acquistato il 43 e bene ho fatto. La scarpa si presenta molto bella esteticamente, facile da pulire ma sopratutto molto confortevole, infatti il 43 è stata la scelta azzeccata che con una calza invernale si adatta perfettamente al piede. Al momento la prima uscita è stata fatta con temperatura tra 8 e 11 gradi con vento teso Nord-Est 🥶 i piedi erano perfettamente protetti al vento e allo stesso freddo( soffro i piedi freddi nella vita 🤣) con queste scarpe finalmente ho risolto il mio problema. Ovvio che troverete i piedi sudati al rientro ma sinceramente poco mi importa.P.S. Aderiscono bene su suolo sterrato e sabbioso e comode nel fare tratti a piedi. MAI SCELTA FU COSÌ AZZECCATA sono contentissimo CONSIGLIATE.

So I bought these a few months ago and waited until now to set them up for fall riding. But when I went to install the SPD cleat the retention broke off I did not over torque it it just came loose and broke. I am not sure where to claim warranty on this site amazon really does not make it easy to return faulty products.

La bota es de gran calidad y muy cómoda. Pero como inconveniente principal, el cierre. No puedes comprometer la funcionalidad de una bota de alta calidad y precio considerable a la funcionalidad de un cierre de cremallera. En mi caso estaba defectuosa. El vendedor fue muy profesional y se hizo cargo de la devolución del producto. Llamada de atención al departamento de fabricación para corregir cierre de la cremallera.
