Wow! Impressive growth!
I've tried repeatedly to plant strawberries from seed only to fail every time. I decided finally to try bare root strawberries and picked up this set of 10. First of all, I received 13 which is an excellent bonus. I didn't even need to clean them up, there were no dark roots and the crowns were in nice condition. I stuck them into my A-Frame NFT hydroponic system 4 days ago and already have 2-3 new leaves growing on every single one. This is INSANE. I can't believe how quickly these things are growing. I couldn't recommend these more to anyone. If you want strawberries, and don't want to hassle with germination and waiting a long time to grow - get THESE. I will be ordering a lot more very soon. Just need to empty out some of my tubes first.

Beginner friendly, HUGE growth in no time
I’ve honestly never left an Amazon review (and I shop here a LOT), but my praise for these strawberries needs to be heard! I ordered 15 bare root plants but I was sent 17 - thank you! I soaked the roots in water for about an hour on the day they arrived (first photo), then I planted them in soil I mixed myself (something I’ve never done before but the seller had such great instructions I figured I might as well follow them) 30% play sand & 70% soil - I used fox farm soil. Literally less than 24 hours after I planted them I started to see new growth. I planted them Monday night, these photos are Friday morning. I cannot BELIEVE the growth! I live in upstate NY and I have been bringing the plants outside during the day and in at night, since it’s still chilly here. Can’t wait to see the berry yield! If the harvest is anything like what I’m currently experiencing I think I’m going to have a lot of berries!

Very healthy plants!
I received 7 plants and they were packaged very well and were in great condition when they arrived. They have been in the ground for 3 weeks and they have been doing great since day 1. They're already covered in flowers and have almost doubled in size. They are very healthy. When I placed them in the ground, I made sure the hole was deep enough for the long roots to fully extend. I had some eggshell crushed into powder that I added to the soil and after planting I placed straw around them. I haven't over watered them, just make sure the soil stays moist, and I've covered them when it rains. I would highly recommend these plants!

Happy little things
Twelve excellent, very much alive plants bundled up in a promptly delivered package. I soaked for an hour, then put them in temporary pots so as to get them into soil ASAP; all put out new leaves within three days. Their permanent homes will be these 5-gallon fabric pots, which I recommend over plastic pots or in-ground planting since strawberries like to have good drainage and a fabric pot lets water out on all sides.

100% success rate. Beautiful roots
These bare roots came delivered in beautiful condition. The Millennial Gardener on youtube mentioned this seller and I take his advise. Some of these crowns were monsters, like thumb-sized. The roots were very long, and it was recommended to give them a haircut to 4 inches. I did that, then soaked them in water for 1 hour, then I planted the same day in 30% sand 70% topsoil/compost mix. It was mentioned that it is better to have some roots exposed than it is to bury the crown, and I did just that and 2 days after planting every strawberry woke up and had new leaves. The seller sent 3 extra roots and every one of them looked healthy and is continuing to grow well 1.5 weeks later. This seller obviously knows what they’re doing.

Fast delivery and healthy bareroot strawberries (seascape variety for SoCal)
Ordered Seascape bare root strawberries (pack of 10 got 13 plants, NICE!!!) on the 4th of march 2025 from southern California arrived today tenth of march at around 4:30pm, handpicked nursery is based in benson north carolina so these arrived in southern California nice and quick was expected to arrive on the 13th of march 2025, the bareroot strawberries all look nice and healthy, no smell of rot no signs of rot and none looks completely blackened a very very good sign, each plant has sprouts of leaves from a healthy looking crown (this is very important) and are lighly covered in dirt (like uprooted plants that have been cleaned lightly with water) pictures taken are of the bareroot plants placed directly into a container with water crowns are not submerged as to avoid rot, will be immediately planted in the morning. Understand this review was made during the optimal growing season for growing bare root strawberries typically around late January to March in the northern hemisphere in southern california, i technically ordered these rather late but that is besides the point, the bare root strawberries came healthy and free of rot and i got extra plants, i highly suggest that the company continue this practice of adding extra plants whenever possible similar to a bakers dozen, if this is not possible then that is also adequate, i thank you for your potential mistake so long as i get the ordered amount of plants (10 plants in this case) i highly recommended ordering from this company for bare root strawberries consider me a potential recurring customer. From here on it is my responsibility to care for these plants, i hope at least half survive, will be updating this review in the near future.

Four stars only bc I can’t say the outcome just yet, but I can’t see any reason why I wouldn’t have berries. They looked great upon arrival, although I was shorted one. It wasn’t a big deal to me; I still think it’s a really good deal. Planted them, and just a few days later, they all have new green growth on them. They look good. Can’t wait for the harvest!

Fantastic root stock!
Great product! Well developed roots with signs of new life in my batch. I soaked them in a vase of water while I prepared the soil in a stacking pot system. The photos are from when I had just finished planting them. They look nice already. I’ll stack the pots in a few days. Just wanted to give each start a bit if sun for a few days.
