Connections were easy. Connected the battery with the right terminals, chose the correct battery type (Tubular in my Case) and chose the mode I wanted (UPS in my case and not eco since I wanted the UPS to cut off earlier with even slight voltage variation). Made sure that the MCB behind the UPS was on and also the switch was set to Normal. The UPS started functioning perfectly. I purchased the battery from a local vendor as he provided better prices (also for the return of my old battery). The UPS takes about a minute to recognize the battery level. This happens only the first time you connect the battery. It will take some time to recognize the battery capacity every time you disconnect and reconnect the battery and in most cases, I guess people hardly do this once in 3 or 4 years to replace the battery. The screen is informative. Shows a power icon when mains are connected. Shows Eco logo if it is set to eco mode and no logo in UPS mode. It shows the battery type when you change the type behind the UPS. When the UPS is on battery, the timer shows the approximate battery life in hours and minutes. If the battery is being charged, the UPS shows the time left for a full charge in hours and minutes. 2 downsides: If you have a high capacity battery and no load or low load (say just 2 or 3 LEDs) then the display shows the maximum 9 hours and 59 minutes since the display has no more space to show time beyond 9:59. The second downside is that the fan makes a significant amount of noise while the battery is charging and also generates quite a lot of heat. Avoid placing it in the living room or close to your bedroom. The UPS does come with an option that gives you the battery distilled water level indicator. The downside is that most vendors do not have this in stock (Luminous E-Float Magnetic Water Level Sensor, as far as I remember). The other issue I faced was the error codes. It was late at night and my light switch was not working. I decided to change it myself as I had a spare. I was working with the electricity on and accidentally did something to trip the breaker. My breaker tripped, I turned it back on. But the UPS was running on battery even when there was electricity available. The screen showed an error code like B01 if I remember. I did not have the manual handy and did not get any results when I googled the code. I then planned to remove the UPS and connect the mains directly, that's when I found that the UPS breaker had tripped as well. A simple breaker reset solved the problem. The last thing on my mind was the input wire size. I spent quite a lot for home wiring and have used wires with thickness of 4 sq. mm for lighting circuits as well. The wire that carries the load of all light, fans and electronic devices passes through a very thin wire provided by the manufacturer. I always have the concern that an overload may burn that wire even before the breaker trips. Maybe all manufacturers have this practice. The wires provided in 2000W water heater or an A/C unit are very thin as well and I am just a little paranoid.

Very good product

This inverter is really good and works automatically without any issues The performance is much better compared to other brands I have used before. My previous inverter could not handle much load, but this one manages it very well. I can easily run multiple fans and bulbs without any problem. It provides stable performance and feels reliable for home use. Overall, a very good inverter with strong load capacity.

Good inverter and good service after sales....

I bought an inverter from Luminous in 2019. It had a digital display, but after 4 years it became unreadable, after 5 years the on-off switch was damaged, and in 2026 the inverter became unusable. I accepted that this could happen over time, but my problem is that such a branded company does not have the responsibility to provide service. When it became unusable, when I contacted the customer care number, they gave me another customer care number and a WhatsApp complaint number through a recorded voice, but there was no response when I called that number, I registered on WhatsApp complaint and they did not even give me a complaint number. If they cannot provide service even after 3 days of mailing, no response, then why are they selling all this. To the best of my knowledge, I would never recommend any product from Luminous to anyone out of concern for the customer. This is just my experience. No one should waste their money buying a product that doesn't have a service team.

After 2 weeks review i can say it is overall a good package, it is super fast while switching to battery after power cut, can run around 600watt loan.. Yess it make decent amount of noise while charging due to fan.. build quality is good and sturdy .. loved the LED screen it shows charging time and discharge hours which is nice for long power cuts.. charging speed felt little slow but not much issue. Its value for money product... The thing i dont like is it had came with broken warranty seal so i had to contact different customer care to resolve and yes service centre response quickly and were ready to come to home for sny repair.They said broken seal makes no difference in warranty.You can go with this product and luminous cam be trusted.
