Robbins and Cotran Review of Pathology (Robbins Pathology)

First year medical student here, I bought this and have been using it for our systems-based curriculum. This book is organized by body system. The questions are great practice for our shelf exams!! I've had several questions on exams that very closely resembled questions in the book. All questions are very tricky, but great practice. The answer explanations are very helpful for understanding. Overall, I recommend for system-based exams.

I used this with Goljan audio (caveat, some mcc items are updated in book conflict with the old audio so pay attn of course). This year's Step 1 seemed clinicals heavy & this helped tremendously. There are tons of side bar notes & color pics to quickly review pre-exam (4 th ed). Material is succinct yet integrative e.g. HY micro, physio, Pharm etc.

I used this book during my second year of medical school and I saw a drastic difference in my pathology scores after the first month. Absolutely amazing and worth every penny. It also covers microbiology and some of the more common diseases. Great buy :-)

All I can say is I wish I had more time to work with this book.It was one of the best resources I had for pathology I and II.

Great questions and even better answers/explanations. It lines up pretty well with Pathoma which is a plus

2nd year med student here (can't imagine who else would want this, lol) and I love this book. Robbins is our class text for pathology, and I hate reading, so I do these questions after watching lecture (and pathoma) and it works awesome. Some of these questions are essentially identical to questions from my exams! Really glad I decided to buy this one.

Challenging questions. Better than a lot of qBanks, and definitely the best question book out there for step 1 pathology.

These questions are CHALLENGING and the elements of them frequently appear on the path portions of my exams. When doing them, just don't be discouraged if your soul feels a bit crushed after going through the set.

Perhaps most importantly - these are different problems to the Robbins Pathology Flash Cards (I was worried the same material would just be repeated in both). A great bank of pathology questions with accompanying explanations.
