I had a real problem finding something that would work in my BMW without either being too flimsy, having to block vents or not sticking to the empty spot on my glass display. FINALLY I found this product which so far has adhered perfectly to the glass of the display. It moves around easily but still holds my phone firmly. Fingers crossed it stays adhered as all others have fallen off in a day of driving.

That said it works just fine

This begins to overheat phone when placed on a wireless charger. The ring is on the back of my case and gets incredibly hot even after 20 minutes of charging

I got two car mounts that were similar, and this one is by far the better one. The suction cup to attach it to your dash (or wherever) has this jelly like adhesive that 1. Ensures this isn't budging once you place it where you want it and 2. Won't damage your dash! I had it in my Camry, but my husband needed one in a pinch, and the other one I got wasn't working for him. I was able to pull this one off of my dash and attach it to his Tundra with no issues. It came off of my dash fairly easily and I was worried it wouldn't stick to his after removal, but it went on just fine and stayed on just as it had in my car.The flexibility of the neck is also a huge benefit, you can move your phone any which way, and even swivel it left to right as needed to get that perfect position for a hands-free solution while traveling. This phone holder came in clutch for an 8 hour road trip and gave us no problems whatsoever. It also comes with a magnetic ring you can attach to your case if you don't have a MagSafe type case like I do. My husband does not, so we used the ring to make sure it would attach firmly. The magnet is STRONG, there was no slipping of either of our phones but it was still easy to remove when we needed to.I will be repurchasing this holder to replace the other brand that didn't work for us.

I was excited about this, then I tried it and the magnet only worked without my phone cover on.

Note: I don't like to stick anything adhesive to my dashboard, so I rather put my mounts on my windshield or Air Vents, therefore my review here is after testing this device on Glass only.Strong Suction power. Nice flexible arm which gives me several positions to choose from for my phone. It passed my test by taking this mount for a drive, and it kept my phone in place. The magnet works prefect with those Magsafe cases.

The lever is too weak to hold the weight of the phone.
