Serum
This is a nice thick serum that absorbs easily and doesn't leave me feeling sticky. It doesn't irritate my skin in any way and I like the way it feels. Not sure how well any anti-aging serums actually work, but I keep hoping to see a difference!

Thick, rich & milky serum; absorbs immediately w/no tacky or oily feeling, soothing...
I was interested in trying this serum because of the carnosine as well as the turmeric. I am familiar with the potential benefits of carnosine in skin care products, but I'm pretty sure I haven't used any with turmeric as a key ingredient before. This serum caught my eye because of the brand name, as I am always on the look-out for Korean skin care products. The product description mentions that this serum (and their other products) are based on key ingredients imported from Korea, but are actually made in the US. So, that was a plus. The milky white serum is rich and creamy and quite thick -- a drop stands on its own and doesn't lose shape, almost like a gel. It goes on very smoothly and is absorbed almost immediately. I do use a bit more than I usually do with serum, as it is so thick. About a dime-sized dollop is plenty for my face and neck. There is no oily or tacky look or feel. I have very dry, sensitive skin that tends to become rough and dehydrated very easily, so the addition of cica, hyaluronic acid and squalene to the formulation seemed ideal for me. This serum feels nice on my skin and it is soothing and while I can't say that it feels particularly hydrating on its own, it does seem to help my skin hold onto moisture over the course of the day when I use it in combination with other products. I'm not sure about any anti-aging effects, but I haven't been using this serum for very long. For right now, I will leave the rating at four stars, but if I do see any permanent improvements in my skin I will bump the rating up to five stars. The serum is gentle and I haven't experienced any irritation since I began using it. The serum is housed in a dark glass bottle and arrived nicely boxed and properly sealed. The price seems quite reasonable compared to many other serums I have used, especially since I use about twice as much as I expected to...

Not really seeing a difference
I’ve been using this on and off in my skincare and I don’t really notice any change in my skin. It’s also not as hydrating as I would like it to be. Seems like it’s maybe not for my skin.

No scent. Great ingredients. Affordable. My acne-prone, combination skin liked this serum.
Seoul Ceuticals Advanced Carnosine Serum (1 oz) – 5 stars4 ½ stars rounded up to 5. The 1 oz / 30 ml of serum arrived in a branded box which lists all ingredients. There was a plastic safety seal around the lid. The brown glass bottle is protective (nice) and the eye dropper worked well. The milky serum looked thick, but it thinned out immediately on my acne-prone, combination skin. It glided over my face with ease and was fully absorbed within a couple of minutes. There was no tackiness and it layered well following an essence and before a light SPF 30 moisturizer during the day. I didn’t experience any irritation or spots while using this serum, every morning, for the last three weeks. The antioxidants, skin brighteners, moisturizers, and soothing ingredients worked well with my skin. It’s my understanding that the “Hammamelis Virginiana” extract (witch hazel) is an alcohol-free distillate. Dimethyl Sulfone (MSM) is the 3rd ingredient. The Carnosine in the name of this serum is in the 4th ingredient (it’s one of the ingredients, along with milk thistle that it pairs well with, in Ameliox™). Kakudu plum (from Australia) is a natural source of Vitamin C. All good and this serum is at an affordable price (currently $15.99).I’ve removed ½ star because the name of this serum did lead me to believe it would be made in Korea, but there’s no information on the box or bottle as to where this serum is made, just “Distributed by Seoul Ceuticals” is provided. The brand’s site states its products are “developed in conjunction with top Korean advisors…”“Select ingredients Imported from South Korea”. Vegan. Cruelty free. 11% Organic. 98% Natural. An icon states the serum will be good for 12 months after opening and the box I received in November 2023 was marked EXP 10/20/25.

Helps my dry skin
I wanted to try some beauty products from South Korea. South Korea has become known for it's beauty industry in the past several years. This Seoul Ceuticals product comes in a purple box. The top of the bottle was safety sealed with plastic. This gave me peace of mind that the product had not been tampered with. The serum comes in a dark glass bottle with an eye dropper that has a tapered end for precise placement. The product is slightly thick so that it stays put until you rub it in. It absorbs quickly. It has a very slight odor to it.
