Indian Slow Cooker Paperback – 5 Nov 2015

Could have been better..... Some of the recipes are impractical and make no sense! They seem to have been "adjusted" for the slow cooker. Imagine eight hours for a soup! There are a few saving graces like the meat dishes which are ideal for a slow cooker. Didn't we all know that! It's a 'publisher's book', if you know what i mean.... but she admits that in the foreword. Regular slow cooker users in India can give it a miss.

Delighted with the book. The chicken birianee and the potato pea curry tried so far. Not used to asfoetada sp so i leave it out. An excellent range of lentil/dahl recipes. I have made curries for years and i find the recipes in this book truly pleasing.

Excellent recipe book for the slow cooker. Everything I have tried so far has been very tasty.

Purchased as a gift, not my kind of cooking but an interesting book all the same.

I looooove this book. I want to make everything. I am not really much of a cookbook person but I use this one a lot, and everything I've made from it has been amazing. I've also learned a lot of general info about Indian cooking from it. The recipes are mostly all really easy as well. If you are on the fence about whether to get this book I don't think you'll be disappointed unless youre looking for 100% slow cooker recipes with zero prep. That's not what this book is - it's an Indian cookbook that incorporates the slow cooker as the main cooking method. Most of the recipes do require some stovetop prep but this is minimal and quick generally, and makes the dishes so much better. Wish it included a korma recipe but that's my only complaint! Highly recommended!

This book is all you need. Some ingredients are difficult to find, however there are substitutes suggested. Great font, pics for most recipes and the format of the book easy to handle. If I wrote a cookbook, it would look like this. Comfortable and easy to use with great adaptable recipes (I convert some to pressure cooker)

I love Indian food especially curry. I adapted one of the recipes a bit for butter chicken and it was delicious. I would never have thought that you could cook a curry in a slow cooker but yes you can! Next I will try a jhalfreze my personal favorite.

Very sad at how limited this book really is. Lacks depth and too few recipes. You’d do just as well to google for recipes as pay for this book. Most disappointing.

Very disappointed with this book. I expected it to be much thicker and many of the ingredients are turning out to be very difficult to find. I would not recommend this book.

I love my slow cooker and I love Indian food and now I LOVE THIS BOOK too !!

There looks to be a lot of good recipient in this cookbook. I love Indian food so I am looking forward to trying some after the Holiday Season is over.
