Amazing Bonsai Lotus Seeds!
The media could not be loaded. These are absolutely gorgeous little plants. Thank you so much to the seller for sourcing such amazing little plant. I was afraid that these might be full sized lotuses because the seeds are the size of a full sized lotus. However, they have kept true to being bonsai. All of the lotuses germinated within a few days except one. It looks to be dormant still because the first true leaf is still green. Nevertheless, what a great germination rate!I received the seeds 15 days ago and got them started according to the instructions provided, changing the water with warm water every day for the first week.Once they got to about 6 inches long, I potted them in fluval soil and have kept them on a window seal that receives about 6 hours of direct sunlight. They have been thriving and even have two coin leaves and aerial leaf shoots starting to make their way up. The water temperature ranges between 70F in the evening to 86 F at the height of the day. They seem to be okay with about 5 inches of water above the soil line once they are long enough to allow their coin leaves to float. Having the higher water level also buffers the heat so that they don't cook in the water. I would recommend starting them in a smaller dish where they can get some length and then transplant. They are very hardy...even the slower growing ones of the bunch have been moved about 3 times (gently) and they are still thriving.Definitely worth the value! Best of luck on growing them if you choose to do so.

They.Don’t. Grow.
Unless you are a very talented gardner and have aquatic features in your home, I would skip trying to grown these seeds. They arrive already sprouted which is great. I then got the special aquatic soil recommended and followed the directions. They started to turn brown and were dead within a week. These are not a type of flower that is easy to grow!

Started growing the next day
The instructions that come with it say to plant these but I bought them for my fish tank. They popped the next day. It's currently a Friday and I got these Monday and put half in my tank. 2 did not grow at all but there is 7 in my tank currently. Now that they made it to the top it's a waiting game to see when they will bloom. My pics are in order from Tuesday to today being the last pic.

Struggling finding the right size container.
The directions say we need a container that holds water and is about 12" deep and 12" round or square or something. Struggling to find such a container that can sit in my office. Otherwise, the seeds have sprouted and done exactly what we expected as per the instructions.

Hopeful
Thank you to those that responded to my question about getting flowers from your lotus seeds. I'm still hopeful. I talked to a local "water fountain/pond" store and he told me they grow very well but you have to fertilize them. I purchased Highland Rim Aquatic Plant Fertilizer Tablets from them. 1 Tab/Month. 36 tabs for $10.00. I have not planted the seeds in dirt yet, So I plopped a tab in the water this morning (see bottom of pic). WTHeck. I'll update this review when with flower pictures if I get them.
