Serves the purpose. Nice fit but prone to scratches and spots.
Pro: the quality is good and the price is affordable. It's better than any other uv filter in this range. Fits perfectly and you don't see much difference in picture quality.Con: the film quality is a little brittle so anything that touches the filter might scratch it.I just wanted to buy it to protect my kit lens and as it happens it works amazingly well.

Good.... Product.. In this range
No doubt the product is excellent and its fit the lens perfectly. I am using it on 55-200mm lens and it look nice.Coming to the picture quality after using the uv filter in the lens, there is a slight decrease in the contrast of the picture( not so bad) but you can see the difference between those two pic taken with filter and without filter. You can use for it as lens protection and hoya is performing better than other. Suggest to go for it but just slight decrease in contrast which can be adjusted in post processing.

Quality not upto the hype.
I have bought this 52mm filter for mi Nikon 50mm F1.8D lens. I haven't used it for 2 weeks and I stored it in the box provided by Hoya. But after two weeks, some kind of mould start to grow within the glass pieces.Pros:Can be used for physical protection of front elements of lens.Cons:Quality not upto HoyaNot good for long term usageMould starts to grow if left unused

Great value for money; a must buy
I've now been using this filter for a few months now. The build quality is sturdy and it fits easily on my Nikkor lens. The outdoor photos are markedly better with this lens. I mostly click landscapes and I'm glad I invested in this lens. It is easy to clean, even at times my 4 year old son smudges the cover. It is great that I have this filter instead of my son directly smudging the lens.Lately, I've also lost the plastic lens cover and this filter is holding the forte for now :)Edit 7/20/2015: It has been a year I've been using this filter. I just wanted to add that it has good durability. There is no wear and tear even though I frequently put on and take off the lens cover (got a new one after losing my original one!).

Filter works, but disappointed that it came with spots on it.
The product states it was made in the Philippines. The lens arrived with some spots, which was disappointing. After cleaning, I used to take some sample shots. There is a slight difference with a little reduction in haziness. Naturally, some light is blocked and exposures need to be longer. I have used Hoya products in the past with an SLR camera (pre-digital era) and the quality was excellent. I will update the review after more usage.

Perfect piece of glass! No more fear of scratches..No more hiding from sun!
Its not just a filter, something more than that! It really serves the purpose of a filter and it also adds as a protection to the lens without compromising the picture quality! I got it paired up with my Nikkor 35mm 1.8g! At first before receiving one of these i was also afraid about the image quality since some guys posted negative reviews about it.. Trust me..You will see no difference in quality of images.. its comes with a nice hard plastic box which keeps the filter protected during the shipment and its made in philippines! A must have accessory for your DSLR!

The product is good as expected from Hoya
The product is good as expected from Hoya. But as advised by Tony Northrup one should not have a piece of cheap glass ahead of a much pricey lens by any means forcing the incident light to pass through another medium. You can manage to protect the lens by the lens hood only and by the lens cap (while in storage). So, say NO to optical/UV filters. Waste of money by the over-protective guy!

Los de siempre
Siempre compro este tipo de filtros para mis lentes y nunca me has dado ningún fallo. Además siempre va protegida y lo puedo desmontar y limpiar cuándo es necesario. Es la clave🙏🏼

I love this brand
I have many Hoya filters and I love them all. I like this one more because it is very thin. It could be hard to screw on the lens if you have big hands, but the filter does its job to protect your lens.
