This is a review of the Yemsd 10.1 Inch Digital Picture Frame. The model number is P11. The ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) is B0C9BY3WLW. Understanding the varied workings of the frame is a learning process. It is made easier with the 17 page Frameo User Guide. If you prefer visual learning, Frameo has supplied video tutorials. Just scan the QR code on page 4 of the guide. Frameo accepts various formats, jpg/JPEG/BMP/PNG, and MP4 video format. Accepted video length is 15 seconds or less. Transmission of photos can be through wi-fi, but it is not required. Photos can also be loaded by using a micro SD, with adapter, or a standard size SD card (32BG or less, not included). There is also a USB-C port, but I haven’t been able to load photos with it. The 16GB internal memory can hold thousands of photos. Image resolution is high - 1280 x 800. Images are advanced by setting a timer. They can also be moved forward or back with the touch screen. The 10.4” x 7.16” picture frame comes with a stand, enabling it to be placed in either portrait or landscape mode. There is a notch at the rear of the frame for wall hanging. Power is supplied by a 5V cord (included) plugged into the wall. There are many features that I haven’t touched on. They are explained fully in the guide or on the tutorials. Do not unplug the digital frame without turning off one of the 2 power buttons. Only use the power button on the device or on the screen to shut off the power (see photos). I have used the Frameo app for a couple of years and have found it to be responsive and trouble-free. Through the years, we accumulated thousands of family and travel photos. They filled a few large bins, which we kept in storage. The photos have all been digitized and now can fit on a micro SD card that is about the size of a penny. That’s progress. Our frame is displayed by the front door. It has become a centerpiece of conversation.

This has been great to gift family. They now get all of our new pictures sent to their picture frame via frameo. Would def recommend!

I bought it as a gift for my wife and displayed ot at her birthday party. Able to add photos taken at the party instantly was a great feature. I will be giving these out as Christmas gifts.

What a cool idea; you can give your friends a special code and they can send pics to your photo frame! Aside from the standard displaying of the photos you upload, I think that's a great feature. This also will display the time and local weather (or weather of the location of your choice), if you want. I like that you can customise how it displays images, either fill the frame or fit to the frame, and you can have it display captions, play video clips (with or without audio), choose how long each still image is displayed, etc. I mean, there's so many features! But you don't have to spend a lot of time grappling with a bunch of settings if you don't want to. It's pretty easy to just use the default settings and jump right in. They're pretty logical. I will note that this needs to be connected to WiFi for photo transfers, but also for the updated weather, notifications, updates, etc. If you use this at home with your home WiFi, this isn't an issue. If you travel with this, it doesn't take much to connect it to different WiFi networks -but- it won't connect to WiFi that requires a portal to login (like a lot of hotel WiFi). Probably won't matter to most people, but now you know. The display is bright (and the brightness is adjustable) and clear, it's a great size, and it even has the ability to be put to sleep on a schedule so it's not running pointlessly while you sleep. 100% recommended, I love it.

I had a digital photo frame about 12? years ago, and it was horrible... low resolution, only took a 16gb SD card... ugh. It never got used, then sent off to a charity. But I thought it was time to get another one, and this Yemsd 10inch WiFi Digital Picture Frame has completely changed my mind on what I’m going to use it for! Digital picture frames basically allow you to create a custom slideshow of your pics. What sets this Yemsd Picture Frame apart is the on-board “operating system,” Frameo. Frameo is the shell that runs the display panel, and has a smartphone app (iOS/Android) for easy transfer. PROS -Display: big and bright 1280x800 10inch IPS touch screen. I don’t know the color space it uses, but the RGB panel is sharp. The resolution for the touch interface shows some lag and isn’t that precise, but Frameo works well with it. -Mounting: can be mounted in vertical or horizontal orientation on a wall or displayed on a table using the optional stand arm. -Images & Video: you can run photos (JPG, BMP, PNG) and videos (MP4). There are tiny speakers on the back as well. -Programming: Frameo handles a lot of the setup so you can basically upload your pictures and it does the rest. You can select the image duration, prepare optional captions, and use an onscreen widget if you wanted to show the time and weather. If your images are too large, you can select a focus region crop or else fit to size and show a blurred version background to fill the screen. And get this... you can schedule when you want the frame to turn off! That way it doesn’t run overnite or when you are out. -Image Import: you can directly link to your Picture Frame over WiFi and choose which images you want to run. -Security: I wasn’t expecting this at all! Once you connect the Picture Frame to your WiFi, you create Users who can upload/modify images. The panel supplies a numeric code that you enter on your smartphone to pair together. It’s not foolproof, but it will help protect your images and data connection. So, once I discovered all that this Yemsd Picture Frame can do, I am going to use it in a very different way... digital signage. Normally if you go to McD’s or a yogurt hut, you’ll see a display panel that is used to show menus, videos, specialized content. As a teacher at a university, I’m going to bring this to my office and mount it in my office door. That way, I can: -provide my daily schedule -important notices and events -small custom videos (I teach motion design) What’s awesome about all this, is that Frameo will allow me, if a student comes in with an emergency meeting or personal situation, to push a Do Not Disturb notice to the Digital Frame and suspend all other content. That way I can respond directly with the student without them worrying that they are interrupting anything. This is going to be a game changer in being able to respond to different situations, and for updating where and when I’m around. I take my lunchtime -very- seriously! CONS/SUGGESTIONS No Cons that I’ve found so far... but some suggestions for Frameo in the future: -Per-Image duration: if I want to show my daily schedule for 45 secs, and a small cartoon for 10 secs, I should be able to do that. Currently, all images share the same duration. -Image Crossfade to White/Black. Images will crossfade between themselves; I’d love to see them use White or Black to separate content. -Time/Weather Widget random location. I’ve only had this for a very short time, but it seems to always be in the same screen location; this can cause screen burn-in over time. -Other Mounting Points on Back: I’m going to have to hang this from my office door on the inside of the glass... it would be great if there were some mounting blocks where I can run some fishing line through to hang this. I’ll come up with something, but the more people see what this frame can do, I can see this being used as a door or window display instead. I’ve done digital signage and I’ve used commercial set-top boxes and custom RasberryPi boxes, but I’ve never run into Frameo before. I’m very impressed with what it offers to the basic person at home who wants to give grandma a picture frame that can be updated remotely, and I am looking forward to exploring what else can be done!
