Good value

This to me is a Good value set as it contained 5 embroidery patterns with all the embroidery cotton i need, a plastic ring, needles, picker and snippers. This is going to keep me really busy for a while and each embroidery pattern has their own difficulty or easy ability. At the time of ordering the cost for everything in the set cost £11.51 which is very good value for money in my personal opinion.

Pretty series of fairy theme embroidery kits containing five models in total, but unfortunately with some issues. Each model is in separate pack (with enough threads) and there is one plastic 20cm hoop, daisy shaped needle threader, set of various sized needles, seam ripper and thread snips with plastic protector. The instructions are written in English and are fine (there are also tips for beginners), the fabric however is dyeing my fingers (as I've shown in the photos) and the contour paint kind of sits on top of the fabric and peels in the process of work (not as much as you won't be able to see the contours, but still). And while the excessive black paint isn't a huge issue for darker colours, it might be for the lighter ones (I haven't finished the model yet, so not sure about the final result). The accessories are handy and I use the daisy needle threader and the seam ripper, but the clipper isn't sharp enough for my taste and the needles' eyelets aren't polished well, so the thread gets damaged and I ended up using my own. Despite of the above mentioned issues I still think the patterns are pretty and it's a good value purchase, especially if you have embroidered in the past and own some basic tools. I would've rated it four stars, but my blue/black-ish skin is just too much of an issue, however - if this isn't too much of a problem for you - I still recommend these as they are pretty and are of good value.

These little embroidery kits of fairy houses in various mushrooms (and a pumpkin!) are very, very sweet. They would be ideal for decorating a child’s bedroom, and perfect for an older child taking their first steps in embroidery thanks to the careful instructions. That said, they’re great for adults too. The thread colours are gorgeous and look really great against the black fabric.

This embroidery project has a beautiful design pattern & easy to follow instructions. It even lets you know which embroidery floss colors to use when hand embroidering on your project .Takes out guest work.

Birds came out beautifully and the instructions were simple. I changed up some of the colors and stitching to practice my embroidery and was very pleased with the end result.

Ok for a beginner. Best advice: Don't worry about making yours look exactly like the photos. Just enjoy it and make it your own.The floss is not super great but I went ahead and made it work ok. The main problem is when I went to wash the finished product - which I'd spent weeks working on - I saw that it had stains on the fabric! The colors ran. I used no detergent or soap, just very gently rinsed it in water and laid it to dry overnight. In the morning when I went to check on it - ugh. I soaked it in OxiClean for several hours, which got out most of the stains, but one stubborn - and very noticeable stain remained.I tried everything: alcohol, peroxide, stain remover, baking soda, bleach… I got it to fade some and just when I was about to give up, I tried a bit of nail polish remover and it’s now about 90% gone. Took a lot time and patience - and is still not perfect.That was very upsetting and disappointing to say the least. All in all, just don’t wash it! The designs are pretty, though directions and photos could be a bit better. Maybe it would be a different story if you pre-washed the floss but who wants to do that? I would have given it a higher rating if they would warn you that the floss is not color-fast.
