This is such a better budget option than the first one that came out. It’s great for the shots it can be used for. You will have to have/get a slider. I’ve only used it on one GrayBeardBiker episode so far but I’ve wanted it for a while before newer releases this one.

I genuinely want to like this product, and I believe it has potential. Macro lenses for phones that deliver results are hard to come by.The pros:1. It's a budget-friendly option for anyone seeking macro lenses.The cons:1. You definitely get what you paid for. I've used high-end options like a Sony macro lens before, and the difference in image and video quality is substantial. I understand the limitations of using a smartphone camera versus a professional one, but the real issue here is the lack of stabilization when the lens is paired with a phone. When you get up close to your subject, the phone and lens fails to stabilize. Any slight movement from your hand is captured, which compromises the final image or video. If you don't have a track or a professional-grade gimbal that can handle the weight of the phone, lens, cage, and lighting setup, you won’t achieve quality results for content creation. I don't recommend this product. Save up more and get yourself a real macro lens.

Shooting video or taking snapshots from a close perspective is a new angle of creativity for capturing images. Nature shots can now be captured without the tunnel effects of some lenses. Kit comes with mount, lense and adapters. Recommended for creativity.

I still can't believe this was available on Vine! Just to note, you do need to get the appropriate adapter to use this with your phone. Once you have the adapter, this lens opens up so many options for a photographer. You can get this probe lens into places that you would never be able to capture with your regular lens. The barrel is really long and slender and gets into places you just otherwise wouldn't be able to photograph. The field of view is excellent, and the LEDs ensure that you have the appropriate light levels. For me, this has opened up opportunities for underwater shots that I would not have been able to capture in the past. I'm so happy to have this lens. Great deal and Neewer makes great products.

This is a great lens that works well with my iphone. My only issue is that it does not come with tripod to focus it. Otherwise, happy with the purchase.

I have this macro lens attached using Neewer’s phone clamp system, although I do wish they made a case I could mount it to for the iPhone 14 Pro. That aside, it works a lot better than I expected with their clamp, with the lens firmly attaching to my phone with no real shifting around even when bumped. The lens is extremely high quality; it’s actually better built than some of my Lumix lenses. It’s crafted from an all metal tube, with the front portion of the lens being waterproof for submersion, which can make for some pretty cool shots. Additionally, the ring light built into the front of the lens is awesome and very easy to use, being rechargeable via a USB-C port, so no having to fumble with battery compartments or carry replacements.The lens can focus much closer than my iPhone alone can and the 2x magnification gets me that much closer. So far I’ve mostly taken macro photos of flowers and a few insects and the quality of the photos was better than I expected but I also wasn’t blown away. I need to do some more experimentation with settings perhaps, but I do appreciate the additional capability over the built-in camera on my phone. I’ve used some clip-on magnifier lenses before and there’s no comparison between those and this lens; the pictures are sharp, detailed and I didn’t see any signs of distortion. It’s a bit on the pricey side and definitely not for everyone, but on the plus side it’s well made and comes with a great hard-sided carrying box. It’s a bit difficult to fit into my everyday photo backpack but if you have the room I’d say it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re serious about phone photography.
