I've tried a few versions of Tilley hats over time. Tilley makes very high quality hats. Amazon has had some very good pricing on these hats. I was able to pick one up for $40.I decided I wanted to have hat with a wider brim than my LTM6 (Brim size: Front & back 3 ½”; Sides 2 ½” ) more winter months when the sun is lower in the sky. This LTM2 has a brim size: Front & back: 3 7/8"; Sides: 3 1/2".Like the LTM6 it has the following:- Sun protection - certified UPF 50+- Air flow - 3/4" mesh around crown allows for extra ventilation- Guaranteed for life - they will actually replace it if you send in a hat that has fallen apart- Water-repellent finish keeps off the rain- Front & back wind cords system secures hat in gusty conditions. This is one of the best features on the LTM6 and LTM2. The way the cord is attached allows you to dial in a snug fit, keeping part of the cord in front of your head and part behind. This keeps your hat on your head in high wind (or in extreme wind it may blow off your head, but the cord will remain around your neck so you don't lose your hat). I haven't seen this feature in other brands.- Hydrofil® sweatband to wick moisture away- "Secret" pocket inside the hat to store small flat items- Buoyancy – stays afloat in water. The float material can be removed if you prefer not to have it in the hat in warmer months.

This hat has nice wide brim! It shades your face, sides and back of your head. What more could you ask for in a that?

I was looking for a wide-brimmed sun hat that was a bit dressier than an average boonie hat, one that was firmer and more solidly constructed. The hat arrived in a thin, plastic bag, flattened into a two dimensional object, its crown considerably wrinkled and deformed. The wrinkles in the crown don't seem to easily become smoothed out by wearing the hat a few times. The hat should have been shipped in a cardboard box. The description in the ad didn't mention anything about the hat being "packable" for travel.I didn't want to return the hat, because I would have needed to stand in line in the nearby UPS store, and risk becoming infected with the corona virus. I left a message for the seller, asking for advice on how to improve the appearance of the hat, but have not received a reply. I suppose no one at Amazon has time to respond to questions these days.This hat has a nice, firm, 3-1/2" brim, good aeration near the top and a nice, durable double-drawstring, which I haven't figured out how to tie around my chin. The ends of the drawstring aren't shown in the pictures in the ad. I assume that the ends have to be concealed beneath the crown on top of your head. For this relatively expensive hat, I would have expected a clamping bead.

Hat was creased and dented. My brother in law was disappointed he could not fix it. Had to return it

I was introduced to Tilly hats because on a recent trip to Disney Springs I bought one. Since then it has become a favorite. This is a terrific practical everyday hat. It's a well made quality product and they look great. I wanted a second hat with a wider brim so, I ordered. But the wrong size was sent. However it's a good hat so, I'll give it another whirl. 7.125 this time please.P.S. I paid $70 for the first hat because there was a coupon. I had to pay $80 to buy a replacement in the correct size.

This hat is exactly what my wife needs! I’ve had a Tilley for 20+ years, mine has held up over the years and is still as comfortable as the day I bought it. The only drawback is the price. It’s a little steep, but if you want something that will hold up for many years to come, then I say it’s well worth it.

Brilliant hat

Fantastic hat. Broad brim is perfect and airflow is also great. I bought four and each of those recipients have said the hat exceeds expectations. Safari guide. Golf player. Geologist. Hiker. All delighted cause it gives such good protection and does not blow off even without straps.
