It works and it works well .
One of those tools you don't think you need until your by yourself trying to do the job of two people.

Baby winch - big strength
This thing is awesome - I was painless pulling my ladder stand that weighed 80 lbs up a tree. Very simple mechanics and not to heavy to pack around. Well worth the money - I wish I bought this thing years ago!

Not very strong. AC is better
I wish I'd bought the electronic AC model. I couldn't return because I ran out of return time before I used it. I should have tried it when I got it. Lesson learned.

Great for after hurricanes
From the way this helps me move logs to border my garden beds, I know that this will come in handy for post-hurricane clean-up. This allows me to do so much more of my own garden work (log moving) than I struggled with before. Now I don't need to ask neighbors or family for help or hire someone to move the logs for me. Between a chainsaw and the combination of this with my cordless drill. I will be able to clean up fallen tree limbs after hurricanes all by myself when everyone including businesses is so busy that I'd be waiting a while. This is almost as good as if I had a winch on a jeep or small truck. Highly recommend for people who live in hurricane areas and have lots of trees around. Next task I'm going to try this on after I do a bit of digging around the roots is to pull out a small tree in front of my door. Cutting it to the ground doesn't stop it from growing back so I'm going to dig just enough to be able to get the cable end through the root ball and finally say bye to the tree that keeps blocking the view of my entry. At around $100, this is saving me so much more than having to hire people to help do the tasks this little winch allows me to do on my own.

Great when you need it, relatively compact
I ordered this to keep in my truck just in case, and had the opportunity to use it this week to help pull a bundle of wires uphill through a long conduit run. It was slow, but way easier than trying to do it by hand, safer than pulling the wire directly with my truck, and I was able to tell how much strain was on the wire by how much my drill was loaded down. It worked great for my needs. 5 stars.

Slow, but it gets the job done.
The latest addition to my stockpile of tools is this drill driven winch, and while I don't have a specific use for it just yet, I'm sure I’ll come up with something. I've found as I get older that I’m relying more and more on machines and tools to help me out, so gone are the days of manhandling everything. This is where a portable powered winch from SENKEYFE comes into play. It’s size makes it convenient to just throw in the truck if I need it, and it’s weight at fifteen pound makes it easy to carry The winch is made out of a combination of metal and plastic, with the metal parts making up the key components that receive the most stress. The housing is plastic which is fine as it is not part of the winch that does the actual pulling. I didn't take the winch apart to see if the drive train had any plastic parts in it, so I can’t tell you much about its inner workings. As far as pulling strength is concerned, I tested the winch out on the following. 1-Pulled a small residential riding mower onto my utility trailer. 2-Pulled the utility trailer up to the truck so I could hitch it up. 3-Pulled a few limbs out of the woods from trees I cut down last year. Judging pulling strength is very subjective, as everyone’s needs and expectations differ. If you plan on using this winch to pull your car out of the mud, then forget it. But if used within its designed specifications then it's a very useful tool. Just a word of caution. This winch is not a hoist for lifting up and down. It even states so in the instruction that I know we all read religiously. The 750 pounds pulling capacity doesn't mean it has 750 pounds of lifting capacity. Looking online I see there are similar winches, that look identical to this one, so this winch may be generic, in that its sold under many different brand names Testing in the field and my workshop yielded some interesting information such as. 1-This thing I’d deathly slow, but I imagine it needs to be to maximize its mechanical advantage. I placed a 12 volt drill on the winch, which had been pulled completely out, and it took 20 seconds to reel in one foot of cable. When I placed my 120 volt drill on it at 2000 rpm and it made a huge difference. So try different drills to see what works for you, and if you go cordless I suggest you have a good battery. 2-There is a single speed winch, it’s not like you can change the clutch to a higher speed so you can pull the cable in when it’s not under load. Free wheeling the winch line out is no problem, but taking it back in is a slow process. 3-I found it helpful to have a small spring clamp handy when taking the cable in while not under load. If you let go of the cable while taking it in, it will unravel and be a mess, placing a spring clamp on it when you let go keeps this from happening. 4-There is a small plastic viewing window on top of the winch that allows you to sort of see what’s going on. I found the window a nuisance as it gets scratched easily and if the sun hits it just right you can’t see anything inside. I removed the viewing window and I can now see what’s going on inside. 5-The cable is a multi stranded design. The advantage of a cable like this is its extremely flexible. But wear gloves, because as it gets older and the cable becomes frayed it’s murder on bare hands. I've only used this product for a short time, so I have no idea how well it will hold up after repeated use. I believe if used responsibility it will hold up. It’s a nice addition to my collection of back saving devices. If there’s but one change I could make to this winch it would be to have a manual means (like a turn knob) of rewinding the cable, similar to what you do when you freewheel it out.

I bought this because I purchased a snowmobile that wasn’t running and I wanted to pull it onto my trailer if I needed to. I was able to do that with this little device and it had no problem. There was no struggle whatsoever.. I’ve only used it the one time and it took a little bit of figuring out, but it’s not complicated. I can see using it for all sorts of stuff, it’s just so handy. It’s so light and so versatile… it definitely has decent power. I wouldn’t mind one that would do up to 1500 or even 2000 pounds. But I know that will add a lot of weight.. right now it’s a small smaller size than a snowmobile helmet ect, I can see taking it with me when I go home will in just attaching it to the back of my sled. Over the years of needed something like this many times, but never had anything like it. I’m glad I do now.. I would recommend it to anyone especially people into motor sports.

Actually I was. Impressed with the pulling power, I pulled a 20 foot oak tree off of a river bank, the end was digging in the frozen snow, and the winch handled it, I was using a high torque drill, not sure that a small cordless would do the trick. Be mindful that it is a hand held tool and if the winch is anchored higher, the winch will be floating in the air when cable comes tight, also the cable doesn’t spread nicely on the winch drive, sort of collects to one side when pulling heavy objects, using the first speed on the drill the winch is fairly slow, which can be expected.it definitely will move objects that you can’t move by hand, all in all it can be a useful tool
