THIS WAS LOCK PURCHASE #6 FOR ME. I AM PICKY BUT THESE THINGS ALL SEEMED TO HAVE ISSUES. A VEVO WORKED WELL... FOR A WEEK! THEN JUST WOULD START BEEPING LOUD FOR NO REASON. ONE WOULDNT FIT RIGHT ONE WAS MISSING PARTS AND ONE HAD TO HAVE A BRIDGE TO ATTACH IT. LAST CHANCE I ORDER THIS. IT SHOWS UP AND ITS ALL THERE. THEN THE INSTALL TOOK MAYBE 2 MINUTES. SETTING UP THE APP WAS EVEN FASTER. ITS GOOD QUALITY THE APP IS USER FRIENDLY AND ITS BLUETOOTH CONNECTED SO NO ADDITIONAL $40.00 FOR A BRIDGE. IT WORKS PERFECTLY EVERY TIME. I ONLY WISH I WOULDVE BOUGHT IT FIRST.

Inexpensive digital security. I'm using it for my bedroom door. Easy to install and set up. But make sure that the bolt is properly aligned with the frame otherwise it will try a few times to engage and disengage. I had to file and lube the strike plate to keep this from happening. But for the price it's a good lock. The app it's useful as well.

There is a lot to like about this product, but there are a few issues. The lock is easy to install, has great battery life, and the fingerprint recognition works well. The big negative of this doorknob is that bluetooth range is extremely limited. For it to work quickly and consistently from the app you need to be right next to the doorknob. There is a workaround for this though. If you buy a gateway and place it right next to the doorknob then you can interact via the internet which solves this problem. Just remember that the gateway needs to be right next to the door knob! Even 1 or 2 feet away will cause the app to be slow to open the lock or fail to function at all. Another added benefit of using a gateway is that the lock will function with Alexa and Google Home (with a passcode that you need to setup) and you will be able to control the lock when you are away from home. One other issue I had with this lock was that the GeekSmart app will allow you to share the lock with another user ... BUT only if you use it without a gateway. Again, there is a workaround for this. Instead of using the Geeksmart app you can use the Tuya app and create a home in Tuya that you can share with other users. Overall I am satisfied with this product but it sure took a lot of tinkering to get it to work from the app.

The media could not be loaded. I had a little trouble with the installation mainly due to lock plate space and alignment needed work. So like there wasn’t enough space or not enough clearance and I needed to do some filing on the edge of the face plate because it was a impeding the door from locking it would just go banging back-and-forth. So make sure you get that clearance deep enough and install that plastic box to keep moisture away and give you the right clearance finagling here and there the lock works flawlessly. Sometimes it forgets a fingerprint but you can easily re-enter it in so it’s not a big deal, I’m gonna give it 4-stars because of the biometric sensitivity could be more accurate. Also in the ad copy it said it was compatible with Alexa etc., But its not!So I’m a little disappointed. But I’m hoping GeekSmart makes good on its claims and adds or get that fixed and they will give us an update.But I think I’m gonna probably have to buy a bridge so I can use it which is kind of a bummer!So anyways otherwise the fingerprint scanner seems to be working fairly well.So if you want something easy to open that’s not too cumbersome or expensive this might be good option.Oh btw, you can also open the door with a key and the provided app. It also keeps a log of openings and closings too!I’m enjoying it ! Goodbye keys!🤣

Don't get it if you almost always have someone home and don't leave your doors locked. Unless you maybe use it for a door you don't use often. You can only have it unlocked for so long before it auto locks, which always seems to be when I'm out doing outdoor chores and coming in with finger prints that are dirty or wet.. and I can't get in, and then have to pull out my phone to unlock door... every freaking day!!! If I spend any amount of time with my chickens, it's locked before I get back. I hit unlock in the app, I click the leave unlocked or whatever, but it always locks.. I have stood there for 10 min just to make sure it did in fact connect to doorknob and change settings....Before we "set" it we could just push the button on the inside and it would keep it unlocked, now it does nothing.This thing is gonna become target practice!Fantastic. Let's my kids in the house without key. I love that I can put my besties fingerprint in so she can just come in when she comes over.

Love this easy to assemble but you will need a security bit set
