I bought this to rehabilitate my shoulder because the “Shoulder Reliever” was way too expensive and this had the same functionality. Worked perfectly.

This is an interesting concept to have the rope-less jump rope. I actually got this because my basement is a home gym and that's where i have to work out. The ceilings are about 7' tall and so i don't have enough clearance for a corded rope. This works for that situation quite well.

I’ll repeat my heading! What a wonderful tool to use in “jumping rope” when you have a low ceiling, but then I’ll add – and even when you don’t! I’ve never gotten past the learning curve of jumping rope. I’m one of those people who have a difficult time walking and chewing gum at the same time (not really because I’m in denial, but almost). So I’ve never given jump rope learning a fair chance. Last year I bought a weighted jump rope and found that my ceilings were too short, so that was the end of that experiment (why didn’t I just go outside? Well….).So, when I saw this two-in-one jump rope that would allow me to practice and never step on the rope, I ordered it! It works! The weighted balls aren’t all that heavy, but they’re heavy enough to provide sufficient resistance. The handles have ball bearings in them that allow the short rope to the balls to rotate freely. I’ve practiced and found out how much more difficult it is to jump rope than to exercise walk. But the great thing is that -not once- did I have to stop because I stopped the rope with my feet.Maybe someday I’ll be able to use the plastic-coated steel cable that is included in this set to convert this to a standard jump rope, but as my ceilings will still be too short, I probably won’t do that. Still, it’s a possibility, and I might be comfortable enough with my jump roping ability to try.Clear professionally printed directions are included.

Maybe the rope will handle better once it has time to straighten out, but I find it too lightweight to use. I do love the grip as well as the weight of the additional balls for use when your ceiling is too low so you can’t use the rope, but it seems a waste to only be able to use it that way. I do appreciate the ease of adjustment and the included brochure. As you can see from my rating, though, the rope itself is just average.

I'm trying to make exercise more fun. I thought "ohh. Jump rope. Loved that as a kid." But I don't have a lot of room, so I got this. It's a good set and nicely weighted. Jump rope is also kicking my behind. I like that it's quiet, and I can hear the TV over it, but I'm having trouble hearing the TV over my breathing. I do not know how I was able to jump rope all the time like I did back then. Ahh, well, I'll get in better shape. Right now its a few minutes at a time and it is still fun.

This is a great jump rope for exercise! It could definitely be used for children, but I got it for my exercise in between my gym visits. I like that you can choose between having it be cordless or not too. Would rec!

I was pleasantly surprised to find a length of strong rubberized metal cable in this to convert these cordless ropes into roped ropes when the fancy strikes you. Make and feel of it is good, and the design works for what it is intended for. The inclusion of that extra rope was a really major plus to me and while it may have been in the description somewhere, I bought this without thinking of the rope. Very thoughtful of them.

I can tell this jump rope will last me for years. It's very well-made and has a different feel than most gym ropes. Worth 10 bucks for sure.
