Wow what a brilliant camera!!! I had previously had another popular make which was 4G mains connected, and it was a total nightmare to set up! and was also expensive for the data which wasn't unlimited... I had this set up on the app within 5mins, so easy. The instruction manual is an actual manual!! Not a brief description of how things work, goes into great description of how everything works on the camera. The camera looks great, looks so expensive and very top market. Easy to set the camera up, I had purchased a camera attachment for the wall, then mounted this onto the attachment, as I wanted plenty room for the solar panel. The picture is crystal clear, even through the night, you have the option of HD or SD view through the camera's. You have the option to use night mode(I do as soon as it gets dark). There is also an option for the light to be on when it gets dark(it is not automatic), that option is actually on the picture screen while watching through the camera(a red circle on the lower right, press on it and the shape of a light bulb appears, that means the light is on). Solar panel was so easy to set up, and has worked great. Everyone including myself are very impressed the camera. 2 cameras, one stationary and the other moves 360 degree. I charged the camera up in the house before I installed it outside as recommended in the manual. Guess my only concern is how the solar panel will fair up here in the not so sunny northeast. Will update on that. So far so good though. 13/11/2025 Update - Well my solar panel is definitely doing its job, my battery hasn't gone below 90%, and that was with the camera light on all night, and the motion detector set on medium. I honestly cannot fault this camera/solar system at all. Solar chargers even on very dull rainy days. Will be purchasing more for up the garden Money definitely well spent!! Definitely recommend it.

Fantastic piece of equipment. Works really well and was really simple to setup and install. The solar panel works well and keeps the device fully charged. Camera quality and motion detection are also good. The service from Xega has been great. A data sim card is provided with the camera for which a monthly or annual fee is charged which provides unlimited data. You can use your own sim if you wish to. I opted to go with the one it comes with. I installed my own SD card into the device but utilise the Xega cloud storage service which works really well and was really easy to setup through the Ubox app and with additional help from Kikki on the Xega service team. Kikki was brilliant and really efficient with great communication. Overall I'm really happy with my purchase and would certainly by again.

This really is a great bit of kit. The picture quality is fantastic. As I live in a rural location cameras that require a wifi connection are not suitable, so this is the perfect solution. The solar powered battery lasts really well. I haven’t had to charge it manually since I bought it over a month ago. I am really pleased. The only issue I’ve had is the motion detection keeps activating when leaves/twigs blow which can be annoying. Whilst there is an option for human detection, it would be useful to detect vehicles too so I don’t have multiple recordings of leaves blowing. Otherwise a brilliant product and great customer service.

Update: They emailed me and have sent another camera free of charge. Time will tell if the solar side holds out but we are now back to full off grid capacity, and in fairness I did receive good customer service, I didn’t request a new one, they proactively reached out and offered so for that and the fact the camera is now back up and work I have increased my rating. I purchased this camera to check on our chickens of a night night time, as they are well away from our home electric and WiFi, initially using the included SIM, this worked well and was just what I was looking for, I changed the SIM over to a Sky mobile SIM and all seemed well, however the solar panel decided to stop functioning, the camera works fine with it unplugged, and it also is happy to work with a power bank in place of the solar panel, but the moment you plug the solar in the camera immediately shuts down I thought it might be over changing so left it a while but the same happens even though the battery shows charged or not, remove the solar panel turn off and on again and it comes back to life, which is a massive pain, it was going so well but is now useless as the reason I picked this one was the self contained ability to use it off grid.

After initially having some problems with poor battery life, Xega replaced the camera (and solar panel) for me and new camera works fine with no further issues. Great customer service (although a little slow due to time differences) so although initially disappointed with camera, all issues were resolved and new camera is brilliant! Really easy to install and set up, picture quality is good, night vision good, storage options of cloud or sd card, although you have to purchase those as extra, but all in all a really good set up for remote areas and great value for money! Highly recommend

The service was very good from start to finish. they answer my questions and advise me to try various ways of getting the camera to work all up and running now and I would not hesitate to contact them with any problem. Good camera for sheds and garages where you don't have power or the WiFi signal doesn't reach. The quality of the footage for both day and night are brilliant, and I can clearly see what is going on in the garden. The camera takes a SD card and with enough storage you can record as much as you want. Motion detection is good, easy installation. The solar panel has worked well even though sunshine has been scarce recently. No WiFi capability so you do need to pay for a data-only sim once the free data runs out.

I purchased the Xega XG-08 4G camera set and overall they work very well: good image quality, stable connection, and they deliver what is promised. However, I had the bad luck that one of the cameras arrived with the focus out of adjustment. The positive side is that the customer support was excellent. As soon as I reported the problem, they replied quickly and with great kindness. They explained the situation, offered me an immediate replacement, and in just 6 days I had the new camera working perfectly. I especially want to highlight Kiki from the support team: she was super kind, clear in her instructions, and attentive until everything was resolved. It is rare nowadays to find such fast and dedicated support. In summary: the product is good, and although I had a specific issue, the experience ended up being very positive thanks to the quick and committed support. I definitely recommend this purchase.

Happy with purchase! Considering the price this is great option for fully remote deployment where using only cellular. One con is my solar panel is facing west and when using high sensitivity of motion detection and having spiders / dust / rain hit the sensor my battery does not charger fast enough when weather is poor - resolved with few tweaks to motion sensitivity to reduce battery consumption.

Compré la camara Xega con panel solar y tarjeta Sim para una parcela en el campo. Mí modelo tiene una fija y la otra va rotando según las necesidades.Funciona bastante bien, se configura rapido y las imágenes son nítidas. Al seleccionar el modo Hd, consume bastantes datos, cuidado co la tarifa que tengas, yo tengo 5Gb al mes y en formato Sd llega de sobra. Siempre está a tope de batería, aún cuando está nublado. El vendedor se preocupó en todo momento de las dudas en la instalación y mantenimiento. Recomiendo.
