Pixel should be removed from this item title... does NOT work with Pixel 2 XL
UPDATE: While these may work with other USB-C phones, the Pixel phones use an audio codec that relies on a special chip in the adapter to work properly. These do NOT have this chip and will NOT work properly on any Pixel handset. The description led me to buy 2 of these and I'm sorry I did. Both of them do NOT work with the Pixel 2 XL at all. I think the electrical connector bands inside the receiving plug are in the wrong order, as fully seating the headphones results in a muted audio. You have to pull the plug out about 3mm in order to hear audio at the correct/expected level. Save your money!!

Not identical to product from Google
The product operates only if the jack that is plugged into the phone is turned a specific way. The jack on the pixel phone is supposed to work in either orientation. This product should explicitly state that it does not operate like the Google provided equivalent product
