Read this book in one sitting. It was so easy to read, and flowed beautifully. As a Pakistani woman I found myself identifying with the subject even though our experiences are different. The sacrifices women make in order to survive are universal.

Very inspirational and truly captures some of the emotions of a truly remarkable person. Life is not easy everyone has a path to walk on. This collection really teaches it's all about what we make of what comes our way in this journey of life...never easy but with Gods help possible

I love the perspective of this book! It’s touching and gives a more personal touch to the poems. Zainab does a grear job of maintaining a kind of flow through the book, even when the messages/themes of the poems vary. Her language and style feel polished in their wording.I would say this book is meant for women. It reminds me of a mix between prose poetry, modern poetry, and nonfiction books that seek to help women through personal experiences. Either way, there are some very powerful pieces and Zainab doesn’t shy away from emotions like anger and even a little jealousy.I thoroughly enjoyed this book!

This is such an honest and beautifully written collection of poems which serves as a touching love letter to the fortitude and endurance of Zainab Khan’s mother. It tells her story through poetry, and while her experiences differ from my own, the universality of womanhood made it easy to resonate with this collection’s revelations. Some of my personal favorite poems from this book include Daughters, Voices, and Beautiful Sorrows!

So beautifully written, every piece strikes out in it’s own way. Once you start reading, you won’t be able to stop.

I absolutely love this book of poems. I love reading and supporting writers and this is one of those books I would and have recommended to my friends! ❤️❤️❤️ Would deff recommend ALL book lovers to give it a read.

If I could give it more stars, I definitely would. As a Pakistani woman, it was amazing having the opportunity to read something that was so well put and understandable. The author has done a wonderful job of writing words that one can relate to on a spiritual level.
