Powerful Pump
Replaced the factory pump on my 5.5x24' above-ground pool. Moves a lot of water and makes vacuuming much faster. No switch but I put it on a $20 timer and, 2 years in, no complaints no issues. I would buy this again !

Poor quality
We received the pump 7/1/20 it died last night! Just from this I wouldnt recommend it. Not worth it. It worked great when it did.

My factory pump went out after 7 years of owning my pool. Saw this pump for 189$ and definitely got what I paid for. Within months of install the pump starting leaking between the turbine and motor housing. Pump would lose prime on a regular basis....now in its 2nd summer of use, I come from work to find it siezed up. Don't waste your time and money.

Powerful, but with a catch.
Very powerful, but with a catch. If the pump gets wet overmuch, it will not run on a GFCI protected circuit ( and yes, I connected the auxiliary ground to make sure that wasn't the problem).This is only a problem if you want to swim (or vacuum) with the pump on.Otherwise, this is a good pump for the money.

Excellent high power pump
We added this to our pool(16000 gal) and it circulates the pool great! It’s very quiet running and really helps with filtration. Only downside is no timer but I knew that when I bought it. We purchased a plug-in timer at Home Depot and added it ourselves. Excellent purchase!

Working great so far
Everything was very easy to install after I resized my pipes going from the pump. This one had a smaller fitting compared to my old pump but after some replumbing it has been working like a champ. This replaced my old Waterways pump. Check your fittings before you buy.
