I really enjoyed this story format, but had some trouble with translation correlations.
I purchased this book set and really enjoyed reading it! How these books were written in novel format was very interesting to me, and very fun to read. I did have some trouble with the names, however. In this adaptation, many of the characters are known by their Roman mythological names, and not their Greek names. This is only a problem if you are comparing different versions and characters. (For example, instead of Odysseus, the man's name would be Ulysses.) Overall, I did really enjoy these translations of the original, and really suggest that anyone who is curious read them! Whether you are just reading for fun or for historical/mythological importance, I believe that these are well worth the time and money.

Nice to tick off the bucket list but hardly an entertaining read
The package and the delivery were brilliant and took ;less than 24 hours. As a literary work, I’m finding The Illiad very disappointing. It’s a pretty short novel but the writer seemed to think it important to provide details of every one of the thousands ships captains and their personal relationships. The emphasis on the actions of the gods seems to be almost heartfelt
